Hockey Home Shooting Practice: Tips for an Effective Training

Спорт

Practicing your hockey shot at home is so important; we often don't get enough shots in on the ice during regular team practices. However, you also need to get the most out of your home shooting practice. In this video I show you the materials you need to get set up properly, talk about how to structure your workout to make it as effective as possible, and break down my own shot in slow motion, so that you can see what you need to be looking for when trying to improve your technique.
Get those reps in at home, train effectively, and you'll notice a difference when you hit the ice again!

a great diy/home made shooting pad is a PVC ceiling tile. I found them at home depot for around $13 USD, slides every bit as good as an actual shooting pad :)

Mine’s a Polyethylene Pad, so basically plastic. Was 27€ for 1,25m x 0,75m and works great.

Hi Marcel, thanks for another great vid! Just some questions: What kind of net do you use? I fear that leaving a net made from e.g. nylon or other plastic fibers all year round in full sun, the net's fiber becomes brittle and begins to break and tear soon... What's your experience with this issue?

Hi Tom, My net is just a standard hockey net from Hockey Shot, that I've had for three years now, always outside. I've had zero problems with it and the netting is still very strong!

Hi, its a good video. But i think its much more important to work on the the shooting technic on skates. Because in gamesituation youll be skating while shooting.

75kg and 102 Flex, is definitly to stiff. I'll use a 75flex soon, once the hard one is done.
