Clena no smearing on Tomoe river paper

I know. I love the cover and so much more affordable than the hobonichi covers!

Uniball One in 0.38 for the cousin. (0.5 too depending on how bold you want to go) For my weeks, which is also in my purse and is my EDC, I use the Pilot Multiball. It's very black and you can highlight over it later and it's awesome. Doesn't smear at all. I know you love your pen though - multipens are awesome. (My fave is pilot hi tec C coleto and I use it in my cousin but you cannot highlight over it.)

Just got to where you pulled out your Tombows and OMG I need to tape over the numbers too. They wear off so fast!

It is a lifesaver!!! I wish I would have done it when I first got them but now some of my originals are too worn off to know 100% what the numbers are!

Thanks for the pen suggestions. My husband hates my overflowing pen stash but I can’t help it. I end up finding my “holy grail” pen only to try other ones a month later hoping to find one even better. 😆

I am fairly new to the world of fountain pens. I bought a Lamy Safari earlier this year and I have enjoyed it but I just ordered the Twsbi Eco and I am pretty excited about it. Mostly because of how much ink it uses! I like to use bottled ink and the Lamy just doesn't last that long... I like to use the De Atrementis ink because I can highlight over it (even in my Cousin!!). I also have luck with the Clena and Muji pens. I am boring though and just keep it to black ink, haha! Thanks for sharing all of your goods :)

I have the diamine registrars ink in blue black that I was using in my hobonichi weeks for work because I could highlight over it. I have since decided that the weeks isn’t useful for work and have not used that ink since. I have two TWSBIs and plan on putting that ink back in one once I use up the Sailor Yonaga. I really like having one pen with that ink just because I don’t have to worry about smearing.

If you want a good fountain pen for the Cousin you could try the Kokuno. It’s Pilot and very inexpensive. Japanese pens tend to be a finer line than German or western pens so a Fine in a Japanese pen is closer to the .4 line width and an EF Japanese is like a .38.

Thanks for the info! This is the first time using a Hobonichi so I am still trying to figure out what I like and what I don't on this paper. I am LOVING the Cousin though and can't wait to see how my spreads change and evolve throughout the year.😀
