That part was my least favorite before I read your comment.. Also my personal favorite part is the verse after the chorus 🔥🔥🔥 and the chorus is my 2nd favorite part of the song. And overall I LOVED loved the song and MV!!! What a debut of his solo activities!!!!

J-Hope really let “Jack” out of the box. This was totally unexpected but amazing! It’s great each member will have the ability to create music their way and express their individuality! As they said, the best is yet to come!

Rock like this and hip hop are REALLY hard to meld together. Which is why some people weren't a huge fan of Run BTS, or it had to grow on them for a few listens. Hobi did this on his own and did it MASTERFULLY. I'm SO impressed. He got the perfect amount of syllables in for each part too, which makes the flow sound incredible. Istg he just has this innate talent for bringing forward the perfect energy.

It's a very deep song by Hobi, and jack in the box represents how people characterize him in different ways, but also the music video is very dark and creepy. Likewise J-hope of BTS is maybe a sunshine of group but j-hope as a soloist have a lot of emotions, feelings, concerns and fears as an artist. I truly loved the song and the concept.

I love the fact that we are going to see every member's real side and what they really wanna do and HOBI IS KILLING IT, by the way, i think YOU GOTTA WEAR BLACK MORE OFTEN,it suits you just like this new style suits Hobi so well

As much of a shock it was for the fans but damn the production the construction the lyrics the vocals and rap and not to forget the whole music video is a bomb. Hobi literally killed it and once again proved what a gem of a producer, composer, lyricist, singer, dancer and rapper he is. Even tho there wasn't any dance but the attitude and with the body language he carried himself through out the mv I was amazed literally. Can't wait for the whole album and I knew it you're gonna love it Sam

For me, this is one of the best of J-hope. He really show some good stuff with the fusion between old-school type hiphop beat and rock. Also this song has good lyrics. For the MV, I can feel some Kendrick Lamar type influences from HUMBLE MV. Overall this is masterpiece. 👍

I actually think the whole album is going to be dark, with him exploding his inner emotions and thoughts but in different genres. yk this track is the b-side, not the title. I heard the title is even darker. (apparently NAVER leaked some info from the title, they deleted it immediately )

He makes his own unique metal hip-hop in Rock; Jhope is no longer a street dancer, but he is the hardest workman in his jumpsuits. He seems to want to express behind the dark society that constantly copies idols in the box. Even though he has to live as a clown and zombie constantly to become an idol of many people, he still feels thirsty to see more more more fans he can breathe in and out of what he feels is alive. He's a real genius for this metaphor to show a clown and zombie as an idol. Next time, I guess Jhope will come out of the dark box and go to the Sunlights; he will gain freedom as an artist. In chapter 2, he wants to shout freedom: He feels alive outside the box and will meet more fans.

It almost feels like a play on words. A jack in the box, the boxes being genres/aspects of himself and his style, and him being a "Jack" of all trades. He has so many parts to himself and he's so self aware and has such desire for more that he delves in and thoroughly explores and dominates each of them. This is a Hoseok that's not afraid to get messy and explore himself, his style, and his capabilities and has no fear making art of it all the while. He can want to promote hope in the world while still being human and suffering the human sin of messy feelings and thoughts. Just like the rest of them, he isn't genuinely kind and hopeful and mature because he lacks ego, hubris, or rage; but because he acknowledges it and works through it. He controls it and so it doesn't control him. All this to say I love the energy and mindset behind this and am in love with this style he's embodying. 💜✌🏻🥰

You said it! Just love this song….I’m a metalhead senior (66)ARMY that happened to find BTS during and being quite ill with COVID IN 2020. BTS really helped me get through that really difficult time in my life. I was so sorry to have found them so late….but as they say you find BTS when you need them the most. When they announced they were taking a break I was heartbroken especially since I am an 19 month baby ARMY. ….that being said ….Jump out of that box Jack !!!!! This jam ? banger?
