super cool, But IPO is a much more useful sport for you and your dog. If someone breaks into your home or tries to rob you in your car this training will do zero cause the guy thats trying to steal from you won't ask for a demonstration from your dog, now my dog will automatically give them a demonstration a bite that they will never forget.

Actual personal protection and IPO are worlds apart. However, for testing breeding stock, IPO is a good standard test of working ability. My Euro SchH Dobe got so bored, his trainer and I did ridiculous police K9 stuff to keep him interested. Trainer hid himself under leaf piles in the woods, in stacks of tires in warehouses, etc. We also did car protection, etc. The bite and fight was always the reward. Dobes get so bored with routine.
