Great video. An awesome truck for sure. Your running site is really incredible. That extra output shaft could be for a second axle on a 6x6.

So the most common use of the output shaft is for counter rotating drive shaft to help prevent the torque twist that can happen. You just have to flip your rear diff ring to the other side to reverse the axle rotation. ;)

My dad called it a PTO (Power Take Off) on his tractor. Hook up an auger, saw mill, manure spreader, LOL!

Hobby Plus are offering entry level, upgradable, capable crawlers with great features, at the price that other companies are selling toys at. The upgrade parts become readily available, allowing new hobbyists to learn as they gain more experience (aided by people like yourself). The best think is, any company that wants to compete now has to offer customers similar, or they will fall by the wayside. What a great time to be starting in RC. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I have seen the suspension articulation isn’t too good out of the box. Does anyone know if there are springs that can be substituted to help allow for more articulation? Seems the stock springs are too stiff?

Just angling the shocks inward toward the center skid would help give more travel.

Question for you. Do you know what the total gear ratio is for these axles, and if it's higher or lower than the fcx24 axles? I desperately want more front overdrive in my FCX. Installed some 15/20t portal gears in my front axle, pretty minimal OD. If the ratios between the cr18p evo and fcx24 axles are different, maybe an axle swap would be worthwhile since it seems like nobody wants to step up and make some real od or ud gears for the fcx

Interesting, because on the Box you showed it says "Full function light system control by TX," "Left and Right signal light," "Reverse light" and "Hazard Light." I guess strictly speaking they may mean those lights are there, they just don't function? Seems a bit sketchy.

We didn’t notice that.. but your right. My guess is this is what happens when you use the same box for multiple bodies that have different light kits. The rock van does have signals and such.

Both of these, the FMS and the HP are damn good. The 2 speed And the electronics are far better than the TRX4M.

Well I have the FMS K5 and the TRX 4m. The FMS needs a few things to bring it up to the capabilities of the Traxxas. Shiny lights aside. And so far a search for the CR18P Evo brings up nothing even on Google. I could only find the website in this video description, and it wasn't clear how long it would take to ship depending on if it was in the US warehouse. I doubt most new RC buyers will be that patient.

@@wrecklass that’s why I said it’s days are limited. I’m sure motion RC will be picking them up as well. And they have a U.S. warehouse. Though I do agree hobbyplus needs better marketing department and updated website.
