Back in 2003, when I was just a kid, I was OBSESSED with Frodo and used to play "Concerning Hobbits" on repeat (much to my younger brother's dismay). I even got permission to paint my walls like the Shire and my dad made me a bed that hung from the ceiling, complete with lattice wood and ivy. I kid you not, as I listened to this playlist, the nostalgia hit hard, but when "Jug of Punch" came on, this 33 year old nerd danced around the house with the stupidest grin on her face! I remember buying that very album with that song on it at a yard sale because it reminded me of the hobbits...and to hear it today, after all these years, being used in a hobbit playlist....You've just completely made my day! Thank you so much!!!
The bag end humming just gets me everytime.
How is it possible to miss a place you’re never been to before??

“Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger: well, there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim: well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire: well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. If none of my earthly pleasures satisfy it, that does not prove that the universe is a fraud. Probably earthly pleasures were never meant to satisfy it, but only to arouse it, to suggest the real thing. If that is so, I must take care, on the one hand, never to despise, or to be unthankful for, these earthly blessings, and on the other, never to mistake them for the something else of which they are only a kind of copy, or echo, or mirage. I must keep alive in myself the desire for my true country, which I shall not find till after death; I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I must make it the main object of life to press on to that country and to help others to do the same.” - C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Technically hobbits are a romanticisation of the British ritual folk, if you live in England and go to the quainter bits of countryside, you are there.

Perhaps because it reminds us of place we are all meant to go to someday. See what Tolkien and C S Lewis say here! :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gK52tpVyl9uThKg.html
This is probably the thousandth time I'm listening to this playlist only this week, since I'm studying sociology and I need a music soundtrack. Truly beautiful and well done! 🌻 so thank you for providing this video, it's my favorite💛💛💛 ( crossing fingers for a good grade😭✌)

Btw, I don't know how but I got the maximum, so you can bet I'm here again👀✌👌😂 Crossing finger for the current exam I'm studying. ( You, creator of this video, are helping me through Uni more than my professors. )
first of all this is my favorite video i have EVER come across on the entire internet in my 23 years of life. I play this at work like daily. I tell people about this video. the day progression, the music.... omg. immaculate. Second and i fully understand how big of a request this is because of the sheer amount of work you put into this one... but girl... a harry potter one... omg... i would LIVE BREATHE AND DIE for this video but like a harry potter version. I would literally watch it multiple times a day every single day. anyway god bless you and keep you and thank you so much for making this video and bringing so much joy and peace to my daily life

😭 Thanks so much for all your kind words, that means a lot!! I actually have a Harry Potter one already! Hope this is close to what you are looking for 😊😊 kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoqd2NVsYbnZd9I.html
I've loved Diamond Day for years, and never thought I'd hear it on a hobbit related playlist. The two worlds coming together- this is most wonderful!
Very rarely are tears brought to my eyes, even more rarely for joy. But you, my friend, have achieved it! At first, I heard Sir McKellen humming "The Road Goes Ever On" and I thought how pleasant to start it off as such. But then as I heard "Soldier, Poet, King" start I just lost all composure, laughing aloud. "Soldier, Poet, King" is a song that's so dearly loved by my fiancée, who wants nothing better than to live a comfortable cottagecore life with me.
Two versions of my fav playlist?! Ty for spoiling us ! ❤️
My wife and I took a nature walk into what seemed like enchanted woods. I had to play this in the background for our little adventure. It's the little things like that that really brings out your inner childlike sense of wonder!
Old book of fables, freshly made iced tea, a creeping sunset, and some watermelon. Perfection~ Thank you for this! ♡♡♡

I sadly don't have a book of fables, but I have an old school book of plants and mushrooms from the 60's. Gorgerous hand drawn illustrations, though bit of a dry read. Also chocolate milk from a pastoral themed vintage mug. Rowan trees in beautiful fall colors outside the window.
I love how much effort has been put into this video alone. As a fan of Tolkien's work, thank you for this wonderful experience.
I just sat down to lunch with a giant delicious salad when I found this. Lets just say: crisp veggies and this soundtrack is bliss
This is my resting place. I know the order of songs and I glance over occasionally to check the sky over hobbiton. Its a good day when i can spare 45mins in the afternoon to take a hobbit nap. I listen to this and the cassette verson 3+ times a week.
This is wonderful! The song choices are absolutely on point and the fact that you match keys between some songs is an excellent detail which creates a really great sense of flow and immersion (the slow sunset animation and fireworks are also a beautiful touch). Well done!!!
How's this only have 500+ likes? This is so wonderful. It makes me crave Autumn in a bad way 🍃🍂🍁🌾
Umm so I've listened to this playlist on repeat for the past week lol (thank you!!)
Wallpaper Engine needs this!
This is one of my fav playlists :)
My friend your playlists are outstanding !!
I love this whole playlist so much. The LOTR soundtrack always gets me choked up, but what really got me on this one was the song at 10:43 - when I was a high schooler I would use my tape deck to record ny favorite songs on the radio, and there was a show on NPR called Thistle and Shamrock, a woman named Fiona with a heavy Irish accent presented celtix music for an hour. One of the songs I remember recording back in the day was that song, and because I don't have a tape deck anymore I haven't heard a lot of those songs in that many years! I have discovered a lot of the music from those old shows online but not that particular one, and I just started crying. Great mix overall but thank you for that particular song.
I loved the hobbitcore mixtape! Now listening to this one
음악! 아침 부터 늦은 저녁까지~ 최고 입니다~~~ 너무 좋아요 👍
Was anyone else hoping a nutty deathcore breakdown would drop after the humming in the beginning?? Cause that’s what I thought was gonna happen...
yes!!!!!!!!! this hits different!!!!!!
/this is honestly my favourite thing on KZread - thank you so much! I listen to this every morning and it always puts me in a good mood
THIS IS AMAZING

Brilliant mix!
Aaaaah this was a REALLY good playlist. Like I’m really tempted to just rewind it and start over again haha.
we need another one. Please, it's amazing.
The land of my dreams. My lovely mind home. Shire, sweet Shire. The place i'd like to die.
"What about a hobbitcore mixtape?" "You've already had it." "We've had one, yes. What about a second volume?" Please?
Happy 2/22/2022 at 22:22!
Yaay! Now we just need another Harry Potter one. 🥰
Where can i get that background image?
