As a Hobart technician, i applaud your ingenuity with a situation where many techs would either try to cut the planetary off and replace it, or declare the equipment unrepairable.

Hi there thank you for your comment We do our best to help our customers we will not give up until nothing can be done, but for much simpler reasons some technicians will condemn a mixer Not our practice we try our best and most of the time we resolve and fix the problems with the mixers
You should periodically grind the mushrooming off your drift, when it gets very bad pieces can spall off at high speed and cause injury.

Thank you sir for your comment will take it into consideration highly appreciated it I already have seen a video where a guy recommends to pay attention to the mushrooming of the tools that we use with manual impact Thank you again God bless!!
I have a mixer that randomly shot off power. Will you do a video of one that will explain it. Thanks in advance.
Great vid. Why do the shafts rust there. How is moisture getting in there. I would assume anti sieze compound is used liberally on the shaft for the next guy.

Great question Is hard to know I have encountered this issue more on mixers from the 80s more often than the much older units like mixers from the 60s I don’t know why maybe the quality of the material on the main shaft is not the Same as the really old ones .
