I appreciate that these are often two episodes and seem to cover more of the cleaning/decluttering than others where magically the place is suddenly tidied. I like seeing the process and relationships, etc.

I would subscribe to Makeful just for Hoarders Canada, but it seems it's only through a provider. If you make the episodes streamable without some provider intermediate, I would buy in.

Darlene readily admitted she was not the easiest person to work with and calmed down considerably when her friend explained the methodology to her. There was no abuse by any team member, there isn't time to develop a full therapeutic relationship with clients for the show. That's why aftercare is always made available.

After watching a few episodes, I feel the makers of this show have exploited these people. During the Christine in BC episode, she was communicating very clearly what she needed to start processing the items. She wanted to see the colour-coding and organizing system they were going to use. Instead of answering her question, the doctor kept asking her what she needed to support her?!!! This constant question was the cause of her frustration. This doctor was fully gaslighting her. I felt sick watching this. I hope Christine reads this and knows that someone watching her episode recognized what was actually happening there. I hope she is able to carry on letting go of the stuff and letting go of the pain and sadness trauma. ❤

We're sorry to hear that Hoarders Canada has upset you; it is certainly never our intention to offend our viewers in any way. Our producers took much care when working with participants and it was important for them to help destigmatize hoarding disorder, rather than sensationalizing it. In addition to what is seen on screen, there is a huge aftercare portion attached to the series. That said, I wish to assure you that we are sensitive to your concerns and we have forwarded your comments to the proper departments.

The organizer was cold and didn’t have the ability to listen like Dorothy. .the blonde granddaughter tried to make it all about her . No one wanted to make it about the hoarder. They need the old crew back. This show was absolutely pathetic
