I see so much of my mother in Louise. It was NEVER her fault, it's always someone else's fault, and she cared far more about money and having things her way more than she did about her children or all the other friends and family she drove out of her life by acting like that. Yes, for the record we tried everything to help. If you can think of something to try, we tried it. My mom died alone in her hoard like she wanted. It literally took us 9 dumptrucks and a crew of 10 to clean out her house. I hope Louise manages to have an epiphany about her immaturity before she ends up like my mom.

Dr Heaton has much more patience than I would have with this very rude lady. I've had depression for almost thirty years. I take anti depressants to help me control it. I eat well, I exercise, I've had therapy. In other words, lady, I do things to help myself move forward.

Right and ? Some people have depression that is far worse than yours and they can't do anything to change, the simple fact that you were able to recognise you need help says that your illness wasn't as bad as some people

@@SergyMilitaryRankings you don't know that. You have no idea how bad it was, and I've been suicidal. But no matter how bad it gets, there are tiny windows of time when it's not as bad. Those are the points we need to utilise. My original point was that this lady is doing nothing to help herself. She may not feel able to right now, but there'll come a pint when she will. I wish her all the luck and support in the world.

@@itsacarolbthing5221 it's pretty obvious that there are others who have had worse depression than yours, (it's not a competition) unless you are seriously trying to imply that no one has had it as bad which is just wrong, also the simple fact that you were able to better yourself proves that yours was not as bad as some people's, as some are so far gone they require a lot of care among other things, so I think it's safe to assume that your depression isn't the worst anyone's ever experienced. But back to the discussion , again some people have it so bad that there is no points to utilise again you are judging depression from your own experiences when everyone's is different, in relation to how difficult they are to deal with, some are not as bad as yours, whilst some are far worse, again it's different for everyone, the point is just because you were able to do things to help yourself doesn't mean others could, everyone recovers at different times. And hoarding requires constant support and is one of the hardest to deal with because of the massive social stigma around it.

You see individuals that are having a really strong mental issue with tossing things but logically when spoken to they do understand they can not live like this even if they dont know how to go about working through it. This case you have no mental ability to handle anything but also a total lack of logic and awareness of consequences so she has nothing at all to be motivated by. Shes just going to die clutching her trash alone. She may not be legally considered an adult based on her reactions. She is taking delight in causing stress and agitation and misery for others like she is winning something when the prize is homelessness and solitary death

It is illegal. Even the government gives them an opportunity for clean up before going in and cleaning up, fines or taking property. Second, it doesn’t treat disorder and they just fill it up again. Third, it can lead to suicide or mental breakdown. So, the cleaners feel great but the hoarder still have the same problem.
