hoan defeated 3 japanese all-stars in one competition before, bet monika can't even get through pre-select😂 not sure if she has the rights nor skills to name the term whatever she wants, ESPECIALLY on a big national variety show in Korea

From prelim to semis they played all the good tracks but i think for the finals they wanted to avoid copyright issues with the music. Would suck to have the audio muted for the finals. They both did really good imo considering how underwhelming the music was.

I like that they played obscure shit that you can't just beat freak to every 3 seconds because everyone knows the track. Saw quite a few times where Hoan wrongly predicted the beat. This is how battles should be to get dancers to step out of their comfort zone. Make it less of a performance and more of a battle. Kudos to the DJ.

호안이 이 댓글을 볼지 모르겠지만 본다면 흐름이나 스텝 레벨변화 등 너무 잘해졌지만 하나 아쉬운게 목쪽으로 팔 올리는 동작이 불필요하게 잦은 거 같아서 습관이 된 거 같은 느낌입니다 ㅠㅠㅠ

우승하긴 했지만 호안 컨디션이 많이 안좋아보임 탑클래스에 대한 기대치가 높아 사람들 보는 눈이 더욱 높은것도 사실이고 첫번째 음악은 진짜 호안이 폭발할 수 있는 음악인데 뭔가 아쉬웠음 국제 대회에서 2번째 음악은 호안이 서머댄스 카이트전 이후로 두번째 맞이하는데 저 음악이랑 잘 안맞는것같음 근데 호안도 이제 30대 중반이고 곧 다음 에이징커브 올 시점이라 몇년후에 저지하고 쇼케이스정도 하고 있을듯 다음 세대에 뚜렷한 인재들이 언제 나오려나 .ㅠ

그냥음악에몸이 움직이는데로 표현해가는거 같네요 팝주는것도 전에보단 강하지도않고 전에는 묵직한 한방이 있는데 지금은 전체 흐름을 더중시하는거 같네요

@@user-bo8if5in5f 개인적인 생각인데 그린텍한테 영감을 받은것? 같아요 보는 사람은 지루해 보일수있겠지만 전체적 흐름을 지키면 저지에게는 점수따기가 좋은것같음 곧 30대 중반으로 가니 파워도 점차 줄어들거고 다른 방법을 나름 연구를 많이 하시는것같음

사실 방구석에서 보기만 하는 입장주제에 호안에 대한 기대치가 항상 높은건 사실이긴함..솔직히 예전엔 모든게 신선해 보였는데 요즘은 워낙 많은 영상들을 10년 넘게 접하면서 아무래도 데이터도 많이 쌓이고 실력들도 상향평준화되다보니 보는눈만 높아져가지고 때론 조금 아쉽고 식상할때도 있지만, 때론 어떤 음악이 나오느냐에 따라 개쩔때도 있고..걍 보는 입장에선 편하게 말할수 있겠지만 직접 추는 댄서들 입장에서는 매번 개쩌는무대를 보여주는건 더 어려울터..물론, 춤을 단순히 멋있게 추는것도 중요하지만 그 음악에 맞게 음악과 흐름을 느끼고 표현하는것도 중요하죠. 암튼, 호안안큼 실력있고 이름 알려지고 국내외 탑클인것도 부정할수 없는 사실이고..그 외 잘하는 댄서들도 생각보다 엄청 많은것 같고, 다음 세대에서 호안님에 뒤를 이을 팝퍼가 누가 될지 궁금해지네요. 아 이미 있을지도..?ㅎ 글구 호안님도 나이가 점점 차고있지만 그만큼 춤출때 연륜이나 여유가 느껴지는듯. 암튼, 춤실력 레벨업도 현재진행형이기를 바라며 체력유지잘해서 계속 다이나믹한 모습 보여주시길 바랍니다'-' 호안 우승 축하드리고~ 근데 결승음악 갠적으로 별로넹ㅋㅋ

I had Jsmooth as the winner! Gratz to Hoan 🤙🏽both are world class🔥

Might be an unpopular opinion, but my first impression is that Hoan underperformed in this one compared w/ what he’s capable of doing. He has perfect technique as always but he wasn’t saying much with his moves. Felt “flat” compared to what I expected of him. Gut feeling was that JSmooth should have taken this… he had some hard hits to match Hoan and it felt like he was saying more with his wave concepts. In his round 2 JSmooth also displayed more connection to the music than Hoan IMO - check his footwork in that round, his expression, his energy. Historically I’m not even a big fan of JSmooth and I’ve definitely watched more of Hoan, so this is my unbiased opinion. Overall I’m kinda disappointed by this final. Could’ve been more.

Looked like Hoan didn't know the songs, but Jsmooth just rode the beat and made things work for him in his sets. I am a fan of Hoan but I gotta give this one to JSmooth. Also, I see a lot of comments saying that this battle was a bit meh...It's probably due to the fact the songs played were not popular songs. Both of these dancers, if they know the beat, can kill the beat and draw oohs and ahs from the crowd. But in my opinion, playing less popular or unknown songs make for an interesting battle because that really tests your musicality and ability to work through a concept/idea that gets the oohs and ahs.

One thing I've seemed to have noticed as well now is although he's become a lot more dynamic with his movement- he's lost the perfect clarity he had before. The approach before reminded me of Slim's in the sense that it felt like he was just breaking down/showing the quality of the music. Now it's a lot more like Kites where there's more emphasis on levels/movement/vocabulary.

That's been Hoan's style for a while now. Perfect technique and beat killing, but it's just flat. He doesn't really do anything else and relies on his hard hits and name for people to act like everything he hits on beat is amazing. So much wasted potential. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've actually seen Hoan DANCE. Popping is a DANCE. The top guys are all great dancers too so just being a top tier popper doesn't cut it anymore for Hoan.

Yea J Smooth should have taken that. Hoan did not have a good event. Should have lost to Breeze Lee before this too. Either way is just goes to show me that Greenteck is on another planet in general than anyone else atm.

@@testchannel-playdoh9240 Hoan should have lost to Will if we want to be real. He shouldn’t be an exception to the rules, but dance politics…a good majority of poppers are a little confused about what happened this year. Hopefully the judges can provide popper’s with a thorough explanation.

It wasn’t a very exciting battle lol. And this is coming from a popper who loves popping battles.

Bit of disappointment for both of them. They all look a bit lightweight in this vid.

Hoan , Kite and Greenteck just a little better than everyone else. Jenes not far behind. Dancing unlike athletics is subjective.

같은 음악을 수백번을 듣고 췄을테니, 기존에 했던 스타일로 추거나 무빙하는건 본인이 더 지루해할듯 그래서 스타일이란게 바뀔 수 밖에없고, 지금도 과도기라고 봄

근데 호안 나이도 30대 중반이고 인간의 다음 에이징커브가 36세죠 스포츠 선수들이 전과 다름을 느껴 40대 전에 거의 전부가 은퇴하는 이유중 하나죠 꾸준히 배틀하기 위해선 무겁고 단순하기엔 20대 치고 올라오는 댄서들한테 파워도 많이 밀릴거고 가볍지만 창의적이고 흐름을 잘 지키는 방법으로 가야할듯 현재 자신의 나이에 맞춰가기 위해 이런저런 시도를 해보는 과도기인것같아요
