HMV 102 Portable Gramophone - acoustic machine
Demonstration of a British-made HMV 102 portable gramophone with HMV 5B soundbox and medium tone needle. (The record is Jack Hylton and His Orchestra performing "Forty-Seven Ginger-Headed Sailors" on a British "His Master's Voice" record - B5542, recorded September 21, 1928) and medium-tone needle. Note the auto-start and brake feature - very clever design. I find it interesting that this machine was in production for so long - 1931-1960.

fantastic! How well it works!
I see u have the 50's version same as me :)
What arrangements they made in those days! Did you notice the brief excursion into Eb near the end, before returning to the main key - F?
I don't dispute them - whatever videos of mine that appear must be accepted by KZread. Keep posting! I'm sure there records in your collection that are public domain.
I've just uploaded a couple of videos from my HMV 102 that were flagged as infringing copyrights. I am interested if you have the same problem, and if so which method do you use to dispute it to best effect. Thanks.
1956 I thought it would be older than that !!! ? What kinda price is it worth in this condition, it looks in very good condition. ??

They usually go for over $400. This one has some scuffs, but also has the record tray which holds a stack of records on the turntable during transport.
What year of manufacture is your HMV 102. ??
