I have a Nokia G10 that I bought for my son as a temporary phone. It has a very similar spec to the HMD Pulse. The processor on both phones is slow but not unusable. Having a slow processor is actually an advantage because with a slow processor battery life is in the G10 an industry beating 3 days. Another feature which help improve the battery life in both phones is a large display which hides a huge battery. The battery life in both phones is also helped by its LCD display rather than an OLED display. I think that the similarly specified new HMD Vibe is a better buy because it has a much better Snapdragon 680 processor. Unfortunately the HMD Vibe is only available in America.

At least 6gb RAM is the standard nowadays, anything below is just ewaste and virtual RAM will never replace the real RAM in term of speed

To be correct HMD owns nokias smartphone department and they make their own phones too now

They don't own Nokia smartphone department. They pay royalties to Nokia for the exclusive right to use the brand name on a range of products like phones, earbuds and tablets. The licence expired in 2025 and is not being renewed. That's the reason HMD is releasing phones under its own name now. If they didn't do that, there would be no products to sell. Nokia also own around 20% of HMD.

@@blackhawk69100 Technically HMD bought the phone division that Nokia/Microsoft left behind which included a lot of Nokia's phone related patents.

@@akshaymykar5569 this is what’s left of the old Nokia mobile and windows mobile team. They formed HMD. This isn’t a rubbish phone in the sense of a cheap offering. But it’s definitely not a phone you would use unless you really needed to like for work, 2nd backup phone or just a cheap phone for the kids to use. Also it’s aimed at people who only need the bare minimum. When you look at it like that, it’s as good of an offering as any. Also his phone is repairable which many do place value in. I would ever buy this phone, but it does have its place in the market.
