So cool to see the bunker so well kept. I loved the drone footage at the start very nice to see the landscape around it all. Interesting to learn they could not use the ovens at night, understandable but definitely very cold in the winter to wake up to.

I could tell the lighthouse was tilted a bit. I couldn't imagine having to work there around so much explosives! I wish more of the bunker was open but it was great to see the bunker oven and air filtration pump. I have to give it to EE for finding these places on this tour. This was definitely something interesting. Thank you for taking me along. Take care and stay safe. 💖💯

Awesome black and white drone shots. Thank you for the before and after lighthouse shots. I can understand why there would be a bone of contention between the locals and the German troops since they were making changes and literally taking over that area. Very smart idea replacing the wall around the top of the lighthouse with a concrete protective wall complete with range finders. Sure would be scary knowing there was 750 kgs of explosives imbedded in the lighthouse, you were stationed in at times. Thank you for the diagram of that area and fully explained history behind it involving the German military presence. Ingenious, building a underground tunnel connecting the lighthouse and the Regelbau 621 S. :) Yes, you can see a bit of a tilt with the lighthouse. I guess they found it didn't affect the integrity of the building. Thank you for taking us there, HH. ❤

Crazy how well defended and manned that place was. Was it simply because of the height of the structure that it was so important? (visibilit of sea, land etc) Cool drone footage at the start, would be cool to see more drone footage of locations, weather permitting :D

It's really nice to see someone looking after one of these bunkers. So many are just left to die under layers of graffti and rubbish. And really cool to see they've set up some beds, and have the air filtration unit, and, the bunker oven still in place, so you can have an idea of what the place was like when it was occupied. That's a really nice touch. Incidently, Haas and Sohn still make wood stoves, and heaters, for the domestic market! Shame that the tunnel, and the lighthouse, were not accessible. I can imagine that the view from the top would have been spectacular. Sometimes we forget that it wasn't just the important places that were occupied, but small, out of the way places, like this one, as well, also had there fair share of jack boots, and German eagles. Thank you, HH, for sharing this fascinating little slice of History with us, and thank you EE, for finding such incredible, almost forgotten, locations!, Stay safe and well, both of you!

The term you were looking for for the filter was activated carbon. The bunker oven and air system there are in some of the best condition of all those you've shown! Too bad they dug under that lighthouse. They had to know it was tricky. But hey, now you have a leaning tower like Pisa does!
