Muttley , if you ever knew how much that is appreciated and how much that is coming in handy right now with the camper van needing some special care and attention. To be honest this will " rescue " some upcoming explores that we thought we had to abandon due to our " adjustment " of the travel conditions on he Eastern front trip and having to fix the camper van. Thank YOU so incredible much for that kindness my friend. Now we will for sure be able to keep on trucking :) Have a still great Easter and we send our greeting to you :)

It really is a great little place and loved to see that. Thanks for your great support Dave :)
WW2 history must not be taught in Europe. They don’t teach it in the USA. That may be one reason these locations are pretty much un touched. No one knows what happened during this time period. So happy your bringing this history to everyone so it’s not forgotten. While many locations are hard to see, your explorations and Eagle Eyes portrayal of a soldier, brings it to life in my mind. Great job as always my friend.

Sometimes Anthony i am surprised to see how little even locals know of many of these locations. Pretty strange. The other day we found a part of a British aircraft in a German field and even the local farmer did not know what that was. Very strange if you ask me. Thanks Anthony.

Yes just imagine how much work even the simplest of those positions took to create and build. Thanks Cynthia :)
Absolutely love it when you bring us to such, virtually untouched, and unknown, locations, like this one. And what an amazing place this one is. Not only is the amount of work put in to erecting those stone walls, and stairs, stunning, but also the fact that they have been "faced" to present an almost smooth rock surface along the trench sides. A really incredible amount of time, labour, and effort, has been put into every metre of those walls, and steps, and bunkers. Perhaps the cave you were seeking is buried under that mysterious "rock fall" where the sides have fallen in? Done after the war to prevent people from getting into trouble? Thank you guys, for showing this amazing place to us, and for persevering through the thorns! Stay safe and stay well!

This little location is so well built and planned it seems even though it is just " out there " in nowhere. Loved the way they integrated the features into the terrain. The cave / tunnel is there just could not find it. We might go back later for a second look. Great explore and thanks Peter :)
What a lovely surprise today, 3 days duty, and then 2 videos, and this one was somewhere very special. The hours of planning that started this complex, and so well preserved, and free from graffiti, that you for allowing us to join you both, EE was having a great time with you. This place is small but so interesting. I loved to see the different details there and more to come my friend :)
The cost of removing these locations after the war and the amount of work it would take is probably why many of these locations are still in existence. Land owners were to busy trying to get back to a normal life and support their families to worry about removing these massive structures. The history will always be there but we need people like you and your family to tell it. So far this massive road trip has not disappointed. Keep up the great work and be safe out there my friend.

Great explore and yes EE NEVER complains about anything. The other day he marched a 14 km walk ( the " death road walk ") and never complained once. Thanks Lorele.
As you show us so many different constructions of bunkers and trenches, I see some workmanship that is clearly better than other areas. This area looks more "mature" as the construction of the trenches and walls is quite good; especially the rock trench walls. Too bad the gun at that one location had been removed as I don't think I have ever seen one (50mm anti tank gun). To man all these positions up and down the coast must have taken a lot of manpower! Thanks for taking us along on this trip!! Stay safe and stay well!!

Indeed and we thank you for being here :)
The constructions appear so rough but that is the use of rocks to cover the concrete. A typical example of German coastal fortifications with the deep trench system linking g all the gun positions. The staircases areiconicof such fortifications. Anything to get the soldiers quickly and safely into position when the alarm sounded. The 5cm kwk gun positions were so interesting and it was fantastic to see the picture of two soldiers manning that type of gun. Did you keep exploring to find the cave or barrack foundations or a large bunker? The thorn and terrain were not friendly but you guys always bring us such brilliant footage of even the remotest positions. Thank you team! ❤

Enjoyed the drone shots. The MG or cannon position overlooking the Atlantic Ocean was strategically placed. The terrain seemed treacherous in areas, be careful. Really good idea using the trenches to get around HH. Love EE's running commentary and enthusiasm. Thank you for taking us inside the bunkers. Again, thanks for the pictures as to what the different activities would look like during that time. They did an excellent job using the natural resources native to that area. Good job manning the fighting position. No worries making an error in regards to the gun position. We have all been there HH. Some of those steps do have quite a drop. Imagine running down them during battle! That was quite an adventure. Thank you for taking us along EE and HH.

Once again, thank you for another fascinating and informative video. The Atlantic Wall was an extraordinary feat of design and engineering which, sadly, was constructed by much forced labour and the resultant hardship and death. And please buy a thorn-proof jacket to protect you from the prickly bushes and plants! Happy Easter to you and to EE!
