Craig pays homage to the amazing Darwin Ortiz today by performing Hitchcock Aces. This is one of the strongest ace assemblies one can do, both magically and theatrically. The idea is simple: four spectators select cards which are then lost in the deck. Another spectator signs the four aces which are then placed face down on the table.The magician removes the same signed aces from four different pockets. " You look so confused. Which is good that's why I got into magic" That says all that is wrong with this effect and your presentation. A suggestion would be to work at least as hard on the patter and presentation as the mechanics. As a rule of thumb, I try not to do effects where the last line could be " and that shows you how clever I am.. The confusion of the spectators is not something for which one should strive Magic is theater, work on your written script as much as an actor. I do not mean this as a disparaging comment, but instead as motivation.

Hey Richard. Thanks for the advice. I think to be honest what do you say comes down to your character more than anything else. My character is that of a conman, a cheat. Someone who does not pretend that magic is real but instead tries to full people with a wink in my eye. This sort of presentation fits my character. I do many routines where I’m trying to confuse the audience perhaps into betting money or whatever the particular routine should be. So I totally understand what you’re saying I’m sure that works fine for you. For me this presentation suits my character perfectly Hope that makes sense
