Let's get something clear; Hit Boy is NOT being salty about Roddy Rich and Kendrick. He just feels they could make more bangers together. I understand where he's coming from.

just look at roddy now, his new music doesn't even come close, not even close to what he managed to put together on his first album / the mixtapes that came before that. Boy need to get rid of the yes men and go back to whatever zone / flow he was in during that time cause he was making music that made me think he was the next goat. His new shit is watered down and frankly trash in comparison.

I think once something is successful you should continue that success by repeating what you did. You've created a formula now just repeat it don't try to reinvent the wheel! Nas is smart, he saw the reception he was getting by being produced by Hitboy and saw the sales, and continued with Hitboy. If it aint broke don't try to fix it.

Roddy has changed his style, and not for the better. He popped off with FTS2 where he harmonised and used a lot of melodies in his music which really set him apart from everyone else. In his new music he doesn’t showcase his vocal abilities as much anymore, so the music just doesn’t hit the same. He needs to get back to what we know him for. FTS3 had some moments which was cool, but it’s not even in the same league as his previous works.

He used to be the perfect hybrid of Thug and Future, now you can hear the Future influence is more prevalent when listening to the flows and cadences. It's hints of melodies similar to Thug how he uses his voice as a instrument but not as strong as before.

Hit Boi right cause the only other song roddy was on was how far I came, off games album. That shit went unnoticed cause people were hating on games album but that song was a fucking smash. They should of pushed that record more.

I think Roddy ain’t run it back with hit boy because he wasent on that collab/Khaled shit that hit boy was tryna do. He just wanted to use hit boy for his beats only. Once hit started talking about his own producing company and being featured on tracks too then roddy was out lol. Smh it’s roddy lost honestly, hit got the formula. I not too late to spin the block unless it’s really some other street/politic shit involved behind the scenes that went down
