I've watched the full ep. They are not confused, they got shocked by Rocky actually. Because he is the youngerest and is from a boy group with cute concepts. So they have not prepared for this excellent dance and acting. Judges admired him a lot after his performance. They said that they can't believe that he is only 17, and said if he goes to join a famous comedy competition show, he must get No.1.

They aren't blind, they just don't know American movies so they've probably never seen mask to know how good this actually was.

I can’t believe Minhyukie got last place. His face expressions and dances were on point but the audience either looked confused, intrigued or unimpressed. They were probably confused because he had many different genres included. His performance was amazing whether people would like to admit it or not.

I can guarantee you the exact same performance on any western talent show would fucking anhialate the rest of the competition

I am not too familiar with him, but as a dancer myself, I can objectively say that he is seriously talented. Not only does he have great technique but also so much energy, which really brings his performance together--and his facials were so entertaining. Honestly, you could tell that he put a lot of effort into this and was having a great time performing.

I’m still mad he didn’t win, this performance deserves a standing ovation. He portrayed the character so well and chose a different dance style rather than just going for traditional hip hop. However, i think the audience and judges hadn’t seen the movie before because i don’t think they understood how much time Rocky put into this choreo performance

I'm sad Rocky didn't get many points even though I was expecting it because he's "the little rookie from Fantagio".What I loved about this though is that he did a great performance with a lot of variety. It wasn't just a dance, this was like a whole musical and he told a story with btw great acting. He once again proved that he can dance any style of dance. He can dance tap dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, street dance and now we can also add rumba to this list. People have to keep in mind that he is only 17 and he learned so much and is so damn good already.

Personal opinion. His performance is really great and entertaining but not fully meet the theme 'Uniform'. Uniform is not only the costume but should also be shown in the group dance. However, he is showing a more free/crazy style than a uniform dance when comparing to the other pairs. Anyway, I agree that he is talented and hope he can show us more in the next theme.

Everyone was 'alright' this week - but Rocky seriously stood out the most. So many different genres and technical mastery, creative expressions, and kept my interest throughout the performance. This audience seriously has no clue about dance. It's hard for me to choose between Feeldog and Rocky for first - but Rocky should definitely not have been last.

Minhyuk is the type of dancer you can recognise even without seeing his face. I LOVED the performance.

So I decided to watch most of Rocky's dances, especially this one. As a dancer myself, I realized that he's really really good. AROHAS, your Rocky is undeniably talented.

I think the reason it got such a low score was because the audience didn't appreciate what the performance was on a whole. The mask is very very weird and crazy character and rocky actually portrayed him perfectly to me but I believe the audience wasnt focusing on that and we're focusing on the dance and how technical it was (like don't get me wrong the dance was amazing, but it catered to the weird character which I don't think the audience liked nor understood) and so it got lower marks. I do believe him being a rookie idol is another reason it got low marks (because you'd all vote for people you know ect no matter the talent) and the audience probably weren't as familiar with rocky.

Young Rocky is great! He was only 17 years old at the time. Every time you're amazed at the precision and ease of his movements, as if he's just taking things for granted. But you realize there's a lot of work behind it. And it can't help but admire.

이걸 봤을 때 18살에 아이돌을 꿈으로 가졌으면 저정도 하는게 당연하다고 생각했었다.. 근데 내가 그 나이가 되니까 정말 많은 노력을 했겠구나 하는 생각이 들며 존경스러운 것 같아.. 민혁아 어렸을 때부터 꿈을 이루기 위해 많이 노력했구나.. 동기부여 빡세게 받고 간다..ㅠㅠ

Sad reality is that people never vote according to performances! Fans will always vote for their biases ,even if they didn't perform well. Same for music shows ,whichever group/idol has a larger fanbase will receive more votes.

Even if the audience are not familiar with the mask movie, how can you not appreciate a talent that can act and dance like that come on, he gave u a musical for free deym!!! Some idols just want to look cute or good on cam but this talented Rocky he doesnt care because he was effortlessly HANDSOME!!! You know he came from the VISUALLY SUPER TALENTED GROUP ASTRO!!!

I'm never going to get over this performance and the fact that he didn't win, Rocky did a great job and he really deserved to win, the rhythm followed well, his expressions were spot on, he did it incredible!

Wowwwww this is amazing!! How the hell did he get the lowest score he showed so many different genres, his expressions and stage presence were on point and he only got 134 point? That's just insane..

Didn't know about Rocky until today and I'm seriously shocked he got a score of 134 on this perf. They need to get rid of audience voting because obviously the audience isn't gonna have any expertise on dancing, it just makes no damn sense. Also, no hard feelings against Shonwu but I watched his first then Rocky's and I absolutely believe Rocky should have won, Rocky had way more facial expression and creativity in his dance over Shonwu's.

이해 할려고 마스크 보고 무대 봤는데 진짜 마스크 만에 능글거리는 표정 연기를 너무 잘소해 해냈음 보는 내내 진짜 다시 마스크를 본 느낌이였음

남돌중에 라키랑 여환웅이 유연하면서도 힘 있게 춤 제일 잘 추는 것 같음...

To those who isn't aware who he is, he is Rocky from ASTRO! He's a 99 liner, but he choreographed two of his own group's songs (Morning Call & Fireworks) and also his seniors' (5urprise & Hello Venus). He also took part in Korea's Got Talent when he was 12. I recommend watching his Moving Mountain (by USHER) cover, he also choreographed the dance and there were THREE OF HIM. AND HE WAS SO IN SYNC WITH HIMSELF IT'S AMAZING.

I know nothing about this guy and his group but I fully enjoyed this performance? He does dance very well and has a story to tell and he gets extra brownie points from me cause he gave me childhood nostalgia HAHA While it was a good performance I feel that he is capable of even more so it would be great to see him on future episodes as well

He is Rocky from Astro, 17 years old. He started to learn dancing when he was pretty young and has now learned Hip-Hop, tap dance, jazz, contemporary/modern and ballet. He always wants to try new things though. Rocky has choreographed two dances for his own group and helped with title song choreographies and also helped choreographing dances for his sunbaes (5urprise and Hello Venus). He is definitely, definitely capable of more! I love this stage, and I'm a little sadden that he got such low points. But nonetheless, I know Rocky's a super talented dancer beyond his years! I hope you want more dancing videos of him because he is so amazing at dancing!

I remember watching this show for Ten but seeing Rocky's performance of the mask really impressed me. His facial expressions were everything! He portrayed his character well!

I haven't been paying much attention to rookie groups but damn this dancer from ASTRO has my attention! That dancing was superb! And damn impressive!! Seems like he dances a lot better than some of the other competitors, although I'm sad to hear he received such a low score~~ But their expressions...I think I see fear in their eyes, I'm sure everyone was impressed whether they wanted to admit it or not~ ;)

This was amazing, I hope he got more recognition later on in his career since apparently the voters were idiots and had no clue how on point this was.

Underrated. understated. underappreciated. My family knows nothing about kpop but they know dancing & knows the mask word from word. They'll appreciate this.

honnestly I only know him by his name and bcz he's a Astro member, I mean I'm not stanning them or what, but I mean he's quite very young and he dances almost like a pro, the facial expressions, the acting and the choreo who is quite hard, and he just debut like not even 1 year?? Talent should NOT be based on years of experience OR age, it should be based on what's right in fucking FRONT of you. Even though Rocky only debuted this year, it's safe to say that he's EASILY top ten when it comes to dancers in Kpop, considering that he knows a vast majority of dance styles and ROCKS at them too. (pun heavily intended)

I've been a fan of Rocky since Astro's mini drama 'To Be Continued'. He has a dance scene in that, really smooth, RNB-vibe, and so so sensual, and I was instantly hooked, because he was just soooooo feaking good. That, and soooo attractive. Imagine my surprise when I found out that he can also tap dance, do ballet, contemporary, b-boy, AND Taekwondo. I was like ahhhh shiitttt, this boy's got a new fan! Then I found out he's a 99-liner.... and I just... Like.... are you serious? This guy's only 17?!??!?! Park Minhyuk's talented beyond his years, and I soo want people to recognize him more for that. He's choreographed for ASTRO (the group he's in), 5urprise, Hello Venus, and he was even the assistant choreographer for Six Packs (UDF stage). I wanted him to be on Hit The Stage so much, so when I discovered, he was, I was really excited! Although I'm disappointed with him getting such a low score, I'm just glad he's getting recognition from people watching this show. He definitely deserved a higher score though. His skills, stage presence, and facial expressions slayed me! I hope he continues to be on the show! Give Rocky and ASTRO much love! Check them out!

이 무대 시청 할 때 정말 놀라웠어요;; 진짜 표정이랑 춤, 노래 모두 하나가 된 느낌..

I don't even listen to astro and I had no idea who this dude was but his performance was the best tbh

I love how Rocky and Ten bring out their "characters" in dance 😘 Like their facial expressions and energy ❤️😘

Rocky was the best of the day talking about dance. Too bad it doesnt fit the concept at all, the rest of the perfs were a little boring, just Bora did something unusual but its wasnt as amazing either. For me: 1. Rocky 2. Bora 3. Feeldog 4. Shownu 5. hyu

+Lili 46 As I said she did one of the most difficult dances but cmon shes a begginer in this type of dance, she did a great job and I liked it, but Rocky did better for me :)

Personally, as a dancer myself. 1. Feeldog/Bora 2.Rocky 3. Shownu 4. Hyuseung And also Bora did tap dancing 7 years ago, so she isn't a beginner

Still can’t forget this iconic performance!! Rocky deserves better! He served this dance so well

he himself has such a strong charisma when performing on stage you can see how passionate and confident he is when performing or about his craft in general. Born to be on stage, a worldwide superstar. Incredible at everything he puts his mind to, this man is one to do things the best he can with all his might, and i just admire that about him. Everything abt him deserves love & praise

The audience of this show leans too much on the "rookie" and "sunbae" title of the contestants... But honestly speaking this is one of the best, if not the BEST performance I have seen on Hit The Stage. Not only his dance moves were great, he didn't just stick with one dance genre, he did everything and on top of that, he perfectly mimicked The Mask's iconic facial expressions. I hope this video blows up all around the world because even if rookies may "lack experience", this huge talent deserves recognition

I love both Monsta x and Astro but Rockys performance was way more exciting to watch. This audience has something against rookies like wtf.

Rocky is amazing!! This was a breathtaking performance. His facial expressions along with those amazing dance movements!!! I don't listen to ASTRO that much, but this is truely a great performance. Good job!! And to people who are saying that the audience does not understand how cool this is, I actually think they do. I see it as they are surprised by sudden epic 🔥 performance.

There were literally no steps that seemed over the top or out of place. His expressions were golden. He made the whole stage come alive. I feel like in the new generation dancing isn't just about filling up the stage but showing the emotion with each and very step taken, no out of place dance moves, sharpness as well as synchronization, but on top of everything, most people like looking at the dance because it speaks the lyrics or music. Rocky brought it all and he exceeded many expectations.

this program is a joke. mnet is just using all of them talented dancers for ratings. i don't even know why this program need audience votes instead of just the judges and change the judges. most of them didn't even know anything abt dancing smh

I totally agree with you and they should include judges that specialis on certain types of dances. Based on the votes the audience gives it just feels like a popularity contest and that they're voting for their favourites instead of basing it on skill and takent. There also needs to be a scoring system on categories such as skill, choreography, overall performance and expression

ITS BEEN YEARS SINCE I WATCH THIS PERFORMANCE BUT THIS IS THE MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE FOR ME. This feels like a dance break in a play. Its a shame I did’nt stan ASTRO before but I’m a full blown Aroha now.

The fact that I am only seeing this now is heartbreaking. Lucky did sooo welll and remained in character the whole time. Absolutely marvelous. I mean the video has got 2.8 million views...

Rocky is SUCH and amaazing performer, just look at this!

This performance is the reason I became an Aroha and why Rocky became my bias in Astro. He is so talented!

As a dancer, Rocky’s technique is fantastic seriously you can tell he’s been trained in different styles like modern or jazz which is more musical theatre/ broadway as opposed to the usual hip hop/ street styles that most idols are trained in and I think the audience are used to seeing the popping and locking and breaking kind of dances that they don’t really know what to think about this but honestly rocky is an incredible dance for someone his age and he could just as easily audition for bird and urdang (British musical theatre schools) and make it big in the west end as he could be an idol

It's really confusing if you haven't watched "The Mask" but for us who already watched it, his performance is beyond perfect the way he moves, the facial expressions, the timing. he really portrays it well. To be honest he will pass as the male lead in the Korean version.

His theater background and classical training are always present in his choreographies but i guess judges appreciate contemporary and hiphop more. 😢 he can do other genres but he will always show what he loves doing more. JUST KEEP BEING YOURSELF BOY AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW. he always dances to express not to impress

I LOVED this one, the comedy and talents wow~ Surely one of my favourites so far!
