2:23 It looks like he has no petrol cap. I bet the windscreen and the high speed created an area of low pressure on top of the tank that acted like a carburettor and sucked fuel out.

Something like that... See how it sprayed "forward"??? That's because right behind that windscreen, there's a SWIRL... It's low pressure, as you observed, pulling the fuel out... That swirl of air flow is just like when you see the swirl in the bed of a pickup truck with some leaves or trash inside... They'll rise up behind the cab and around and down (mostly) at the tail-gate... This is similar, but with the farings and streamlining, it'll suck the gas out and cover the windscreen... The only thing I can't really tell is whether he just didn't have a cap all together, or if he somehow messed up latching the thing, and it sprang out and fell off at speed. ;o)

@@gnarthdarkanen7464 aftermarket keyless cap. Forgot to tightnen it properly Some like the Vortex have an additional locking mechanism switch you flip to the right that locks it further into place after tightnened as opposed to the cheap $20 ones you can find on eBay.

@@budgiecat9039 Thanks for the tech' spec's... What I meant was the actual cap wasn't even shown... I've seen a few dubious individuals (having lost their gas caps) stuff a rag into the thing like that's a good idea, for a quick ride to the cycle shop to pick up a new one... (usually)... In any case, I have also had a keyed cap that would feel secure, release the key and all... and it could still pop off if the little inner "hooks" hadn't caught on the lip properly... The difference on some models is almost imperceptible, so you have to check closely before leaving the pump... I'm guessing here, but it sounds like these newer keyless models might be somewhat similar. ;o)

@@gnarthdarkanen7464 My original OEM cap got calcium build up which corroded the key entry which then led to noxious gas fumes coming out afterI would park it in my garage. Def not good. Carbon monoxide poisioning and all. I tried to replace it with another OEM but that required buying the cap, the tumbler, a new key, etc. Mucho expensivo and not really worth it. I had two of the keyless ones after that, A $30 ebay one which was just a simple twisty top, and the $130 Vortex one with the locking latch. Its the newest version. The latter is obviously better. The former was so cheap, water would get in when it rained so I dont recommend getting those off eBay. Water in the gas tank is a bitch .

@@TheTeun69 I think it's pretty rich that too many bikers lane-split way too fast, probably haven't used a turn-signal in years, probably obey traffic laws only accidentally and never by choice (ie, "those laws don't apply to me"), and people will pick apart the 1 thing a cage-driver does wrong and put 100% fault on him.

@@TheTeun69 how do you know he didn't use his blinker? The video conveniently only shows us his blinker for 1/4 of a second when it's not on. Blinking means it's sometimes on sometimes off, based on this video you don't know if he had his blinker on or not.

7.20 this shows you should not overtake from the left. You are following from behind, you should look first where the vehicle is moving even if he does not signal. You should always anticipate and plan ahead. Machines fail, sometimes we have indicate but bulb has fused, that means the signal won't blink. That is why when following behind you should be careful.

@ssgjokerlord here in Florida is automatic 4 years if your caught. Doesn't seam though to deter those who obviously have bad reasons for running such as no registration, license, or insurance. Even if a person dies it's still only 4 years. It's all about catching them.

@@SAVAGE-GAMER- Great bikes....so simple and straight forward. I found mine, quite literally, being thrown away at a foreclosure. It was about to be picked up with other things to go to a junkyard. I got it for free, with the title. 1,886 miles on it. Still runs fine. It has been stripped down to the frame for a complete restoration. I'm going to upgrade to a hybrid ignition system, and very few internal mods...mostly all original. I figure about three more months and we're done. We pick up the frame today from powder coating.

08:01 was a rush rider, watching him speed riding, in the middle of cars and trucks was too much, it's kinda like, calling a Grim Reaper to pick a delivery 😱, ride to your fullest, enjoy it but, safety measures should be taken, be safe and treasure your good life.

The lane splitting is legal in Cali but only 5 MPH over the traffic, not 40. Going to be roadkill before long.

The lane splitter had a few close calls because what he was doing was illegal. Not the landd splitting but the only state it is legal is California and even there you can split but only 5-10 mph faster than the traffic.

In fairness... the ONE thing in that entire clip that he WAS doing right was NOT getting pissed off about driver's not seeing him or expecting him there... He didn't knock mirrors off or spend another half minute swearing at anyone and flipping them off for being slightly misaligned or out of lane and looking to merge when he came upon them... He stayed focused and when he doubted the clearance, shifted out to the shoulder around them and then back to splitting... I'm not about to defend the indefensible. Lane splitting at that speed is BEGGING for disaster to pay a nice LONG HARD VACATION on you... BUT at the very least, Kevin Gonzalez (in that clip at least) stayed on task and didn't take "ordinary traffic conditions" as a personal slight. He knew he was stacking risks for doing what he was doing, and accepted his role in it. It won't stop him becoming a grease-spot when the day comes that something catches him off his guard or out of escape routes... BUT he's not setting the WORST example we've seen in clips like that. ;o)

If you’re lane-splitting at or over the limit and someone turns in front of you, I hate to tell you but you caused an accident. An individual has half a second of response and recognition time for any sort of activity that requires a mental or physical reaction, and if they’re focusing on the cars behind/in front/beside them so they can merge, AND there’s traffic? The LAST thing they will expect to see and therefore the last thing their mind will recognize, respond, and react to is someone using the middle of a dotted-line as a lane, trying to save a few more minutes on their route to an untimely and horrific body paralysis or because they want to return from whence they came before others. Be smart, and be safe. No one is looking out for you except you when it’s comes to the road. The road is simply a boxing match (cutting, edging, racing, slowing, being constant in speed, or varied in speed) that everyone is trying to finish before everyone else so that they can get home and relax: you think a boxer who cannot see his target will not swing at one who enters the arena at the wrong time? PS. Enjoy your cheap funeral in a years time Kevin, you ride like your seat has a cock trying to cornhole you: hopefully they will be able to recognize the face and body, and be able to scrape the meat off the ground in relatively one piece while you ride away from your own seat.

although i am certain lane splitting is illegal, in greece car drivers usually get the middle finger from bikers like that, sometimes even with risk on their health. i once saw a biker punching a convertible driver just because he needed to change lanes in order to take the next exit and cut off a lane splitter.
