Spot on review James. The screwball comedy aspect was what we were going for . Thanks for this . I was the director of photography on the movie and it was one of the most fun movie experiences that I’ve had and the experience that the cast and crew had during the shoot shows through in the final product.
I don’t know, you look more like Hitman than that guy.

lol, totally fair. Glen Powell is a handsome devil.
The on screen chemistry was amazing between the 2
Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate your dependable reviews

It was a pleasure singing this film's praises. The word of mouth is going to be overwhelmingly positive.
I will always be a Linklater fan just because of Dazed and Confused. Thanks, James, for putting this one my radar, you really sold it.

Dazed and Confused is definitely the movie by him that I've seen the most. Very tough act to follow but this one is a winner.
Really looking forward to "The Boy and The Heron" review when you are able to get around to it.

Will do! I've seen 10 flicks so far at the fest and I'm feeling guilty that I have not reviewed everything. Working on my review for 'Maestro' right now.
All his rotoscoped animations are pretty great too.

Hell yeah. Caught Waking Life in the theater and was enthralled.
You've definitely got me excited for this one 😀

This might end being that rare Netflix movie that gets a lot of love once it drops.
i cant find a trailer for this anywhere
Okay. I’ll be in the theater to watch it. Thx!

Hopefully it gets a proper theatrical push in spite of being acquired by Netflix.
Speaking of Screwball Comedies, you'd love Set It Up, also with Glen Powell
Not gona lie when I saw this video pop up I instantly went to Netflix to see if The Killer was available (got Hit Man confused with The Killer). Hey James did you see the new trailer for the upcoming John Woo movie Silent Night starring Joel Kinnaman?

I’ll be all over it when it comes out but I’m keeping my expectations modest. John Woo is getting up there in years.

Agreed about Woo and keeping expectations in check. Kinnaman is encouraging but so many other pieces need to land.
Adria was great in Andor as well

Just saw it and I am Not sure what it is, i cant stop thinking about this film
Is this a sequel to agent 47?
It was so great. Fun and felt timeless.

I loved the film as well but she was only in the show made by HBO last year. Well worth a look
This felt like a modern take on screwball romantic comedies from the 40’s. I was taken aback by some of the Before Trilogy DNA being in it and I can’t wait for people’s eyes to widen how good Powell can really be.
very good movie, I agree
well shit this sounds like my bag

It’s going to take off like a rocket once word of mouth gets out there.

Much obliged!
I liked it but didn't love it. Was a bit too clicheed romantic for my liking.
