I honestly feel so bad for the dad. It's not his son's sexual orientation that offended him, it's the fact that each and every family member hid things from him, He was the only one kept in the dard. This kind of feeling is so hurtful, trust me. All the truths came like a slap on his face all at once. His stepson took advantage of his drunk son and showed him the video, his 2nd wife knew yongjie was gonna do something so hideous but didn't stop him, xingsi also hid his sexuality (though this was for good enough reasons). Anyway, the fact that they all kept him in the dark is what hurt him the most and I feel bad for him.
