He doesn't have a movie, but he's the only Robin to have his own comic series titled "Robin" and after that ended he got another one straight away after titled "Red Robin", this lasted from 1991 till 2011. Movies are not superior to comics and vice versa, so I don't think he NEEDS one, but it would be nice to see xD

Tim Drake wasn't made till the late 80s, so no he doesn;t have movie and no the 60s robin wasnt Tim Drake.

I can't lie Tim is the best robin. Because Tim found that Bruce was not dead. He was just lost in the past

Tim has a very interesting origin, and aside from being basically a natural genius, he's arguably also the most relateable. I also love him a lot personality-wise. He's my fave Robin fo' sho.

Babs De La Cruz Yeah, hes an incompetent asshole that couldnt fight or think his way out of a paperbag. Scott lodbell really destroyed the character in teen titans. Even on Batman beyond he gets his ass kicked far too often for my liking, tho at the very least he ends up with the upper hand. What i find maddening is that he never plays to his strengths. Hes suposed to be clever, hes suposed to save his punches for last, after weakening his opponent, if they are even needed at all.

Babs De La Cruz Ah, missed this one. Well, there are some traces of the old tim, especially in futures end and batman beyond. In more than one opportunity he puts the plot together easily, and thats classic tim. How protective he is of madison while giving her space, and how much he guards his secret identity is also something he would do. But then it comes time for action and its amazing how stupid and ineffective he becomes, and this is mostly due to the lack of imagination and intelligence of the writers i guess. Interesting and complex characters that do more than punching tend to become dumb in the world of comics..

Red Robin..... Yum.

The only thing I wanted you to cover was that he was trained by Lady Shiva when he went to Paris (which was NOT Bruce's intention). Because of his training with her, he is pro-efficient with the bo staff. You hint at it, but I think it's worth mentioning in greater detail.

and the fact that he killed her. Of course, he used rcp to revive her, but... he won that figth for death. at, like, 12 or 13.

To tell the truth, I believe Dick is the only person in the bat family fully capable of being batman, whereas Tim is pretty much the ideal robin and the equal to Bruce/Dick. As you said, hes too capable to only be a sidekick.

Well, he became his own Hero in his Red Robin series, and in that we saw that he had TOTALLY outgrown dick, did a lot more good than him and single handedly managed to essentially destroy the league of assassins. Something that Batman was NEVER able to do. Tim, when he has to, has the potential to become the greatest hero in the DC universe.

ItsSuperEffective His potential is even more evident in the fact, unlike most superheroes he has no power. I think this, like other bat family members, give them a very strong sense. Due to Tim's natural talent of wit and eventual heightened physical state, I think he has the best chance of essentially being possibly the greatest hero in DC universe, probably outstanding the justice league - so I completely agree with you on that one. (Not necessarily in power though, just more capability and resourcefulness in a sense that alone can rival and tower the JL)

I think Tim is just as capable. He absorbs knowledge very well. Before meeting with them he had combat training as well as a good analytical mind.

TIM NEEDS A MOVIE

What I like about Tim is that he's level-headed and goes the long way when it comes to training.

My favorite character who has taken the mantle of Robin is Dick Grayson, but that is as Nightwing. When I think of MY Robin, that will always be Tim Drake. A Lonely Place of Dying is the story that not only got me into Batman, but comics in general. I bought 2 out of the 5 issues at a flea market and spent the next 6 months finding the others. Bruce was off his game and it was Tim's impressive nature, lovable personality, and ability to carry a story that helped me find my now-biggest hobby. As you said, Tim was the perfect Robin because he balanced the detective work with the physical aspects of the job and looked at it with a reverence that Dick and Jason's legacies established. Among my best friends, Dick, Jason, and Damian are all claimed as preferred Robins, but none of their arguments can dissuade my love for Tim as a wonderfully-faceted character and (imho) the superior Robin!

I like how Tim drake is like a comic fan.if most super heroes were in the real world people would figure out who they are really quickly by using the obvious logic and that what Tim does.

Tim is and always will be my favorite robin. His costume, his character, his skills, everything about I love so dearly. If I could partner up with any young superhero it would be Tim

I am obsessed with your videos! Been watching them all week! Tim if my favorite too so it was nice to meet a fellow Tim lover.

Great explanation man. I love the speed of which you speak. You're very clear and concise; straight to the point.

You kinda left out some of the best moments of his red robin run. Like taking down shiva, or manipulating captain boomerang into getting himself killed. Also how he took the mantle of red robin in the first place.Or when he beats 5 super powered assasins on his own by outsmarting them. Also a lot of his early runs where he took on all of batmans old villains and beat them solo, like freeze, and joker. Also i feel like you edited out the part where he outsmarts ras al ghul, because you kinda described all the events around that. Anyway, it was a good vid. Wish you didnt have such a punchable face tho.

Tim Drake my favourite Robin :)

I just love Tim Drake because he earned the right to be Robin and his gifted intelligence almost as smart as Batman. Tim’s a related character and he’s my favorite Robin but Dick Grayson/Nightwing is my favorite superhero but Tim’s a close second followed by Jason Todd at third.

I finished the Red Robin comic a few days ago and that comic singlehandedly bumped Tim up to the status of my favourite bat family member alongside Jason. Highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get to know the character more

Tim Drake was always my favorite Robin. He's the one I grew up with. I was a little kid when he was introduced and I was just beginning to make my own way as an adult when he moved on and became Red Robin so I feel like I grew with the character.

Dick Grayson is the most experienced in crime fighting(out of the robins) and has acrobatic skills that could give him the edge in a fight against almost anyone. But I feel like pre 52 Dick Grayson was more fist. Though his does have indeed leadership skills that are probably better than Tim's, honestly Tim has way better detective skills. For proof Dick Grayson's bio for Wikipedia(I know great source) say he's an expert detective, for Tim Drake's bio it says he's a master detective, and and has genius-level intellect. Note that this information is off of the OG wiki not the Batman wiki. If you have something to counter that, then please share cause the more you know right? Also I don't know about new 52 Tim drake because I think they didn't make as smart as they did pre 52. Please don't burn me, I know how crazy fandoms can be...

The Tim Drake Robin has always been my favorite Robin. I felt that who always made a great Robin as an acrobat and detective and personally when Damian was Robin I felt he was a bit of douche.

I think it looks a little silly for a standalone hero tbh. Especially for one based in Gotham. Kind of flashy in more of a sidekick sort of way.

Yes. And I hated how in pre NEW 52 they made Tim very stereotypical and how he was smart but weak. In the new 52 they filled that gap. He's skilled and a genius at the same time

Nic Saunders Pre-52 Tim was faaar from weak, my friend. They stripped a lot of his depth and personality in the 52, honestly. A mistake even the writers themselves admit in the video for "Rebirth". Here's to hoping Rebirth is the balance of strong and smart that Tim actually is for everyone.

Ive been a batman and robin fan since the 70s. After the mid 80s and me in the service i stopped with the comics. Now i know about nightwing, jason/robin/red hood and Damian/robin bc of the animated movies but i didnt know much about drake/robin/red robin!! If i can remember, its noted that Tim has the strongest punches and strikes of all the Robins

I really liked the video but I wish you talked more about Tim's role in the whole saving Cass thing.

It would have been a good idea to at least mention the whole Tim Drake/Joker storyline that was portrayed. One of my favorite storylines and best told as well.

Love the video, even though I am way late. But It wasnt because Jack didnt believe Tim when he said he tried out for the team. He was proud of him, and confronted the coach, and thanked him for the opportunity he gave Tim, even though he didnt make it on the team. The coach said he never went out. And then Jack went home and found it when he suspected drugs made him lie.
