History of The Universe in 13,799 Dominoes

If you set up a row of dominoes as a timeline of history from the Big Bang to now, and had each domino represent 1 million years it would stretch over 300 meters long. I know because thats what I did for this video. The universe is very old.
Here is some making-of-dominoes footage, if you're wondering how this universe came to be: • The Making of Dominoes
If you want to expand your brain, check out the book 'Forces of Nature' by Brian Cox:

This channel is severely underappreciated. This project clearly took weeks of planning and stressful set-up and perfectly illustrates Its message. I don't understand how this hasn't gotten more attention than it already has. I feel like it should be shown in history or science classes, but I believe it would be too general to be shown to a class. But still, It's an interesting video that all nerds like me should watch. It's amazing.

@@Whitsoxrule1 Agreed! I just watched the video and I really think I would have loved this and would have become way more interested in science if I'd seen it when I was still in school, maybe when I was 14-15. I found that the school classes I took were pretty out of context, if that makes sense. Like, they tell you how to answer exam questions but not the bigger picture.

Incredible video! What a great use of dominoes as a metaphor for the timeline of our universe. I must say, building all those dominoes in 4 days is quite impressive for someone who does not typically build! I also love how you incorporated other elements with the narration like the volcano experiment, sparklers, and other props. It’s definitely evident that you put a lot of time into this and it really shows! Plus, to memorize all of this and perform it so well in just one take is very impressive. Well done!! Going to share this on my twitter! :)

Another amazingly high effort video! You have such an infectious enthusiasm for everything you talk about. Keep up the great work! I think the kind of ultra-planed high-labour videos that seem to have become your domain are a special kind of brilliant. Huge respect Kurtis!

What's especially wild is, considering the tiny sliver of a single domino in which human beings have been thinking and pondering and calculating all the other dominoes... we embody the hubris to express certainty about any of it. We understand. We know. We're sure. No you aren't, human reading this. Be humble and in awe. And remember it.
