The original Prussian language isn't extinct. The number of speakers is obviously pretty damn low. It's more dead like Latin. Miniks Saulikan Weddi is a song in old Prussian if you're interested.

♰ Hail the Teutonic Order ♰ Great vid as usual. I'm a big fan of the ♰ Teutonic Knights ♰ Can you make the Battle of the Siritsa River 1501? It was a great victory for the Teutonic Knights against Muscovite russians. When they arrived in Prussia all they had was 7 poorly equipped Knights and a few infantry. By the time of the Battle of Grunwald 1410 they had an army of 27,000 with including 1000s of armoured knights, cannons and many forts and castles. But still the allies vastly outnumbered them. They made allies with anyone they could. The catholic Poles forgot Christianity and allied with pagan Lithuanians, schismatic Russians, muslim Tatars from Golden Horde, Bohemians, Moravians, Silesians, Wallachians and others. Their army was huge from 39,000 - 100,000. The Teutonic fought valiantly they routed the allied right flank of Lithuanians, Tartars and others and chased them for miles. The Teutonic knights also managed to capture the Polish banner briefly. The Grandmaster charged streight to Jagiello but was overwhelmed , the pressure from numbers overcame the Teutons. Just 10 days later about 20,000 Poles and Lithuanians besieged their capital Marienburg to annihilate the order defended by 1,427 Grunwald survivors, 3000 reserves and 200 seamen from Danzig led by Heinrich von Plauen. The allies lost many men, ammunition , low moral and left leaving the Teutonic Knights victorious. Heinrich von Plauen saved the Order and managed to take back several forts taken by the allies.

@@RamanShrikant For Medieval II Total War, no mods were used. It is just the Teutonic, Kingdoms DLC. The footage from Mount & Blade is modded however. The mods are listed in the description.

This mod must be made for bannerlor!

The mod in the video is 1257 Anno Domini. The character in the thumbnail is also from 1257, with the exception of his helmet and shield, which were added from the Historical Lords Project vol 1&2. The latter mod is not a total conversion mod, but just a weapons and armor pack that has to be installed separately.

I think it’s sad they removed the horns from the ritterbrüder helmets but it’s more realistic I guess. But for some reason they no longer have great helms since the update, which is unrealistic

Teutonic knights? Their name is "Deutscher Ritterorden", German knights order is the correct translation! They were military monks like the Hospitalers and the Templars, but different from them not subject to the pope, but to the emperor of what was the "Holy Roman empire of German nation". Their monastic order was nearly identical to the one of the Templars. Who are the Teutons? The Teutons were a Germanic tribe who before Cesar's time invaded northern Italy and were beaten. Since then there is no news about them! Heaven knows why English-speaking literature speaks of the Teutonic kights. The German knights order was founded during the 3rd crusade in Accra, and existed for centuries. But the Teutons appeared before Cesar, and then were never heard of again!
