The Widow's Porch is one of the most beautiful anythings I've ever seen and as romantic a thing as I've ever seen.

Can you help please? I bought my house 5 years ago and supposedly my house was built in 1850. I can't prove that yet but I do have elements of the house from that era that still exist. However, I have a very small porch on the front of my house that looks out of place, but I love it in the many parts of the year. Since my house was for a more lower or middle class house, what would a proper design look like? I love your show and have watched for endless years. I even dream about y'all coming to help me bring my house back to 1850s and build a barn for me......LOL....I'd appreciate any advice you might offer. Thanks so much!
