There were actually small Sikh congregations (based around a Dharamsal) scattered throughout the Indian subcontinent during the era of the human Sikh gurus (1469-1708), in places such as Assam, Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and others. There was even a Sikh congregation based out of Kabul in Afghanistan. But there were times of persecution. In 1762 alone the Durrani Afghans genocided roughly 60% of all Sikhs who existed at that period of time in a single day, it is known as the Vadda Ghallughara. There was also the Chotta Ghallughara of 1746, another genocide of Sikhs perpetrated by the Mughals which wiped out a large percentage of the Sikh population as well.

A few observations, - Sikhism reached Assam as early as 17th century. - The Christian Missionaries didn't reach Arunachal Pradesh so early as Meghalaya and Nagaland etc. - Islam was introduced to India as early as 7th century. It was by the Arab traders and not the Muslim Invaders. The Arabs merchants have been coming to the Malabar region hundreds of years before Islam was even founded. The first mosque in India was built in 629 AD.

Pretty good and accurate. I just have some small issues: 1. Buddhism should be more than what you have presented from 200 BCE to 1 AD 2. Islam should be much less, it didn't go deep into rajasthan, haryana and uttar pradesh as it is shown here 3. At 256 BCE jainism is shown to be at northeast when it never reached there

Incredibly fascinating that the creator even inputted the diaspora Jewish communities in the timeline.

Pretty impressive, although one thing that's inaccurate about this timelapse is the spread of Islam and how rapid it's portrayed in its spread through Persia and then into India. Outside of a few places where Arab tribes settled down during the Islamic conquest, Islam was the majority religion amongst the common people practically nowhere outside of the Arabian peninsula up until around the year 1000CE(based on the increasing presence of Arab/Islamic names in Abbasid tax records over time). Your timeline basically shows Persia turning from majority Zoroastrian to majority Muslim in the span of a single human lifetime, while in reality was a lot more gradual, with Zoroastrianism still remaining a noticable minority if not the majority in a handful of places in Iran up until the 14th century(when Tamerlane wiped them out).

@@hamzehshashaa2659 yes, this mass Islamization is still happening today. I read that a hundred years ago 20% of Jordanians were Christian, now it's around 2%. I would say that even during the late middle ages, the middle east still had very large Christian minorities.

Anyway yeah I know but currently it is mostly bcz christians tend to migrate to the west more than muslims while muslim tend to migrate temporarily to arab gulf states and come back, another reason is that christians have smaller families coz they tend to be more rich and more westernised these are the main current factors while a very major other one is refugees having a higher percentage of muslims than the local jordanians, it started to happen from a little more than a century ago with the muslim Circassians settling in jordan, while till now it is stillaround 8% of ethnic jordanians being christians but of the total population is around 4%, 2% is an exaggeration, and I think it was about 15% a century ago, speaking only about ethnic jordanians but it wasnt much different back them; there werent many non jordanians back then

Actually, in the early islamic converts, name changing was not that much common. So, using that name based data would also be misleading.

Christianity was present in Kerala way before the 19th century. It's existed there since at least the 3rd century AD.

Good video. A couple of questions, why are the Saint Thomas Christians (and the Church of the East in general), not shown? Same with the Indo-Greeks, they didn't convert to Buddhism till Menander the I. Both of these communities were small, but you have shown other very small communities in the form of the Parsis and Jews.

An important job you have done to make us realise and understand what India was in the past and what is at present and also to realise us as to what we should do for betterment of mother India.

Till 1947 all are correct but after this, 1) the Indian place which is with light green, should be light orange 2) jammu and kasmir should be dark green. And 1 more mistake , e.i. from 260 bce to 140 bce, north India should be dark yellow and from 140 bce to 420, it should be light yellow.

In the southern part of India, till 1400 people were following a pre-vedic form of Hinduism , Buddhism, Jainism.. Then people started following a modified version of the mainstream Hinduism which is still in practise.. In one of the Sanskrit texts these people were mentioned as shudras or outcasts.. :-(

Since people do resourse intensive projects for KZread, like power tool reviews, electronics, diy channels, etc. They require funding. So I suggest that you should also do it since youe work is at par with olliebye and tigerstar, kings and generals. You must be knowing these channels I hope. Most taks donations of some sort or how will they fund themselves.

One correction... Myanmar was always a Buddhist dominated country. Hinduism never reached upto Myanmar even north eastern states of India.

Indian food is ok. I could take it or leave it. However, my wife thinks Indian cuisine is great. Actually, we prefer the "Americanized version". That means it is not too hot so it won't dissolve the plates and the table, like REAL Indian food.
