Real just about the best

He deserves a TV series of his own as how he became Ruthless Dictator and cunning Mastermind of Shadowloo, and how he search for great power to achieve at most top in confrontation with Akuma and Gill.

akuma isn't a true villian. he doesn't kill anyone, unless they fight him. he doesn't steal or rob or even belittle anybody unless they fight him, or challenge him. he doesn't sell drugs or guns unlike bison. so akuma even though he is a demon isnt really that bad.

SupportGaming 2019 Him killing his master is flawed. the simple fact that he feels the need/want to kill his opponents in the first place is a negative connotation, he’s obsessed with his code that the fight leads to ones death and another’s victory, which in itself is flawed thinking because martial arts were created as self defense techniques and even connected to religions such as taoism that represents peace, harmony, and self control, akuma only holds one of these traits which is self control due to his vigorous training. a villain that thinks he’s doing the right thing is still a villain, it just makes his story more compelling. His own brother showed him mercy yet due to akumas own lack of humanity he came back attempting to kill him in battle again anyways. Akuma relies on the DEMONIC and MUDEROUS energy of the satsui no hado to fight battles. Nor are his fights always consensual. He threatens any strong fighters life without their consent due to his selfishness and his own code that he has already broken a few times. He’s a villain with pretty strong ideals and a goal, but all it does is just make him a really cool villain.

@@GamerBoy-ri7lq my comment is years old. But to answer your statement. I did say he kills those he fights. Those who choose to fight him know its a fight to the death. Hence why his brother Gouken and Master Gotestu had to die. Plus its said that there can only be one Master of the Hado. Thats why he also had to kill Gouken and Supercede Goutesu. This doesnt make him a villian. Even Gouken knows there can only be one Master. Its like Highlander.

This character has one of the most mysterious origin story in street fighter, besides Q, and others. I did not know he had a master - I want to know who that master is, and who the other 2 students were also!

In the original world warrior days he was implied to have been trained under Gouken, with the other two students being Ken and Ryu. This was later retconned with the introduction of Gouki.

have you not SEEN what this man survived? an explosion large enough to destroy an entire building. and the Shun goku satsu AKA Destroys your entire fucking soul (oh look, his soul survived without a scratch) no way he's going to be killed by charlie and even if he is he'll just go into another body.

+Macho Pony I believe that SFV may be the last time in a long time that we'd see M. Bison again, but not permanently gone. He'd probably keep a very low profile during SFIII since he's assumed dead due to not appearing at all. He has been known to keep to the shadows before.

Hey HBTW, thanks for making these videos. You have no idea how clueless I was about the story behind Street fighter and how it was important to my childhood. Watching these videos really let me relive those moments again and unraveled a lot of questions I had when I was young. Many thanks to putting the videos together and for all your hard work!

Just a quick note: Charlie does not stay behind to fight Bison in order to ensure that the Psycho Drive explodes. In his SFV story the flash back shows him being betrayed by his superior officers and gunned down by a helicopter before Bison tosses him off the edge of a cliff.

Ladies and gentlemen, i give you, the greatest villain in fighting game history!

I would say that there is a movie where M. Bison kills Dorai. It’s called “The Legends of Chun-Li,” but it’s a bit difficult to find M. Bison because the cosplays in that movie are different from video games

I LOVE M. Bison. He’s such an awesome villain

Akuma killing Bison has been retconned out of the timeline. Their encounter in fact never took place in the official canon and has been largely ignored by SF4 (Bison doesn't even know Akuma in the game). The ending of the SF2 tournament is described in the Viper Aftermath trailer that served one of the prologue OVAs for SF4's story.

I heard a somewhat different beginning for Bison. I was told he was raised by gypsies who were able to use Soul Power, kinda like ki. Eventually he became power hungry and decided that for him to become more powerful he'd try to destroy the good half of his soul and leave the bad half for what he'd use as Psycho Power. But instead of properly destroying it, it was sent to the closest person available, which was Rose. Rose has been trying to sacrifice herself so that the good half would return to Bison and his power would be neutralized.

A couple of things: 1) Bison was originally going to be named Balrog, and vice versa. 2) That bit about Charlie, it is said in SF V that when Charlie (Nash) confronted Bison, he was shot by a gunship after being betrayed by his own military, and fell to his death.

I’d love it if Sakurai added Bison as the next major villain character to Smash. He rules.

His greatest power is how he magically survives every time. He never freakin dies and mysteriously pops up in the next game story.

Personally I think this was a great video, seeing that Street Fighter is very when it comes to having a story line.

Nice summary. Although if you've seen Charlie's "story" in SFV it seems CAPCOM is considering him dying by helicopter, and that's weird because wasn't that Alpha 2? Does that mean he was already missing canonically in Alpha 3? That means that Chun-Lin and Guile exploded the the base alone.

Both Gerald C. Rivers and Norio Wakomoto are kickass Bison voices (I could listen to them both all day), but I prefer Rivers' Bison. He sounds like someone not to be fucked with.

I mean Wakomoto also provides the voice for Vega (which I think History should do Vega) and I think Wakomoto beats the English dub. But for M Bison Rivers beats the Japanese dub.

Rose is the good half of bison soul which he purged all his goodness too so he can fully use the psycho power to it's extent she's pretty much the good manifestation that was part of him.
