You own Lagos,the deltas are gathered at ajegunle the hausas are there at a place in Lagos ,the Igbos are there in some places in Lagos,where are the edos settlement in Lagos even the aworis you claim that they don't own Lagos have settlement on the lagoon, so you want to tell me that Yorubas outnumbered you people abi? Yet you have almost 90% of Edos in the Midwest or you want to tell me that before the Benin came to Lagos ,Lagos was empty nobody was living or doing anything at that time?you people fail to understand something that benin came to grab land by invading the place through which they are business men in slave trade that is how they came in,and what happened when civilization was coming up the British came to abolished slave trade,so where are the Benin at that time at least we supposed to have so many numbers of them here without being outnumbered by the Yoruba and also the distance btw the two state is very far,self glory to the Benin Kingdom can't put food on the table for you

The only thing Benin people will tell you their ties to Lagos are some.words in Lagos that are close to their names. Benin tribe, language, cultures etc are not in existence like the other tribes like Aworis, egun, ijebus etc that still have settlements and language in Lagos till today.

There are error in most of your submission you only said what they tought you but not on 100% ok. When Nigeria was created, it was calabar that is Nigeria capital territory before move to Lagos. And eko obaship now is from ilesha lineage not Benin again. And when you are talking about lagos history you all forget to attribute ilaje to it. And when we are talking about eko. Isale eko doesn't has ancestor crown till today because the royal in eko start from Benin. And only eko was donated by Benin but not Lagos ok. Not true??? Aworis never settled in Eko first and Eko is a Benin word and not Yoruba. The Aworis settled in Isheri which is in present Ogun state. The only Awori chief that came to Eko is part of the white cap Chiefs, who is a subject of the Oba of Lagos. Please you lot to stop twisting the history of Eko (Lagos). I think it is high time the Oba of Lagos write the history of Eko (Lagos) in order to remove this falsehood called history. Thanks

Hello go back a read about Lagos ,this narrator never made mentioned that Benin invaded Lagos To control it due to their slave trade business expansion and if truly Benin found Eko why was it that 99.9% of Edos leaves in the mid west bcos according to geography of space the distance btw Lagos and Edo State is far,or are you saying that Yorubas sent them or outnumbered them??
