⁴th Generation came out in 1980! Not 1983

This narrator doesn't know what he's talking about!!! he says that the 3rd generation was a breakthrough ... that it was the first time corolla was available as a 4 door ! ??? The most common gen 2 ke20 are 4 door versions. The first version was avail in 4 door too known as ke10/ke11 variants. The ke20 came in 2 and 4 door. ke25 is the nice coupe version with 2 doors for gen 2 and ke17 was the 2 door coupe in gen 1. he also states the gen 3 got disc brakes but gen 2 got them as early as 1970. He later states that they were working on a twin cam motor in 1983, yes they were developing the 4AGE but Toyota had been there done that (developed a twin cam) back in 1972 with the 2TG engine. Someone who gets it so wrong at the start should not be giving a history lesson on these cars!

Correct ,also they ran a 2T-C 1600 , which was used mainly in the US , weird 8 "over head valve" engine but the cam was in the block with a weird push rod arrangement for the valves and spark plugs now directly in the center of the now quite a wide cylinder head. i never saw one in NZ even though we were importing loads of engines and parts from Japan so they were quite rare even then .
