    How did Hatshepsut gain precedence over her husband or brother?

  • @AJMerrick

    @AJMerrick

    5 жыл бұрын

    She was daughter of King Thutmose I, and became queen of Egypt when she married her half-brother, Thutmose II. When he died her initial rule was as the regent for her stepson. Hatshephut then took the unprecedented step of becoming Pharoah of Egypt with full kingship powers, assuming heir of her husband. She thus displaced, for about two decades, her stepson and nephew Thutmose III. Hope this helped

    @Mø Nälayé the origins of the red egyptians was central america, and the origial people of africa were the amaigh. black africans were pygmies brought to africa from oceania as laborers (not exactly slaves) who were let free and changed into african people.

    @Mø Nälayé pygmies are small because their original habitat in Oceania shrank as the sea level rose, and became an island, Mixing with pygmies is why cambodians are so small, africans have an asian langy=uage group and culture, the culture of egypt and eastern mediterannean are identical to those of central america in more ways than you can possibly imagine,

    @@mikep608 From one mike to another,dont even try to talk to people because they just dont get it.Its like me telling people that egypt is not one civilization but many. They see egypt as an egg. Before Ramses Egypt was not the same egypt. He builded large monuments that hybred the culture of egypt. After him it was invaded by the nubians who probably repainted the walls and painted nappy hair on everything and now everyone believed they wore fucking wiggs.How about a link to a peer-reviewed SCIENTIFIC journal or some kind of a historical account? I dont have any...its called common sense. And the last thing about egypt..as soon as people stop looking at egypt as an egg and look at it through time they wil realize how extremely unimpressive it is. The only good thing about it was ramses and the pyramids and i have high doubts about it even being 3000 years old. The middle east was a homeland of asiatics who worshiped a bull and ATE CHILDREN {the minoans} who was invaded by the indo europeans 1500bc who brought the wheel and chariot. It became mixed asiatic and indo european and later was again invaded for a second time by the indo europeans under Alexander the great around 330 bc. The only time egypt and the middle east was great was around the 11th century when they were ruled by central asians like the gogturks which sparked the crusades. Anytime before that? not impressed

    if you look from a different angle you may find out she was not. Her father (Thohotmoses I) only had her as a royal child but she was a female, a problem in those times. He had a non-royal son though. So, he married her to her non-royal brother. They ruled together. But again she couldn't have a royal son with him, she only had 2 daughters. But her husband had a non-royal son. Her husband was young when he died. His non-royal son (a child) became king after him and she became the queen regent to a throne which is originally hers. So, she took what was hers. And she was a very powerful queen.

    Randolph Woods the people of Egypt now look much like the people of Egypt then for the most part perhaps excluding the more African south. And Egypt benefited from colonization like other countries of the time both technologically and culturally. Despite the fact some terrible things were done it was still a net positive for Egypt.

    Are you serious nobody benefits from colonialism. Ancient Egypt was already old before the 1st foreign invasion ended the Middle Kingdom. These indo-european / Asiatic / Semetic only brought a culture of ignorance, slavery, destruction to facing and destroying Egypt's Black African civilization. Disgretting Holy sites ,Our stolen legacy is in there Westernized religions. Ancient Egypt is Culturally diverse Black African society Yet the lies and fantasies, fabrications continue in the Scientific Mainstream Media. Culture doesn't lie or have a skin color and it is 100% black African connections to ancient Egypt. No group outside of Africa can calm this culture

    @@randolphwoods4404 funny you mention a culture of slavery considering the Egyptians were some of the worst slavers of their time. Starvation has dropped with colonialism in Africa, Technology grew to a level never seen before in Africa due to colonization. If you would like to get off your device and go back to the hut by all means do it but if you stay on you better damn well thank colonialism for it i know i sure as hell would if i was black. And please proofread for grammar its hard to understand someones argument when their sentences are being typed incorrectly.
