Me and my friends drank this tea when I was 17. Craziest trip ive ever had. I was literally blind the next morning. Dont take this at all most people don't make it out, I've been addicted to meth most my life trying to ecsape reality and just live in a self pleasuring state and now I have the most peace I have ever known by coming to Christ. Life is still hard, gotta work, pay bills, experience loss but reality makes sense and purposes fulfilled in abiding in Jesus. Great video and insight though buddy

This is the best video ive seen on the Brugmansia & i can confirm that ive watched at least 50 Brugmansia & Datura (its cousin) videos. The first point you made about "people getting out of their boxes / altered states of consciousness" is really spot on. Humans are mental alchemists & its in our DNA to try & "design" our consciousness - is probably the most uniquely human thing we do.

I got my first bloom last night, last month there was no new moon, I swear it. I watch every night. We had a full moon for 5 days. To my suprise a flower pod appears, had no idea this was a nightshade until last night. Its large white and beautiful. Normally its almost dead this time of year due to cold nights periodically dipping into freezing but its been relatively warm, great video!

Great video! You had a lot of good and interesting info, some of which I've heard but never anywhere else online. I once read in a Cannabis Culture magazine several years ago about kids being given brugmansia in South America when they misbehaved, to straighten them out. Also, someone told me that story one time about the man severing his own tongue and penis under the influence of datura. I never read about it or anything, but I assume there's some official report somewhere online. I ate datura once in 2006. The only hallucinogenic effect I experienced was I kept dropping cigarettes on my sleeping bag and I would be desperately trying to find them, only to realize I didn't have any cigarettes. It was completely unpleasant besides that, producing extreme dryness and a physical malaise similar to severe alcohol withdrawal. I'm really lucky I got a low dose, since the levels of alkaloid rise and fall dramatically with datura similarly as with brugmansia. Don't eat it to get high, kids, it's definitely not fun, and people die from it all the time. An interesting anecdote is I was talking with some old Deadhead guy who told me he and his friends once ate jimson weed and they all hallucinated sitting around on an old car they had sold several years before in a completely different town. They all remembered it, and how they were all tripping out about it at the time. I've read about the group hallucination thing elsewhere, as well. That's the most interesting thing that actually almost seems worth investigating first-hand, but I also know from my previous experience that it was so unpleasant I'd never willingly take the stuff again.

Very informative, i recently aquired some brugmancia for some from a neighbor here in puerto rico who had some growing in his yard, which i have been wanting to try and use for my spiritual practices and occult workings. Doing and have done much research on this and it's not something people should use recreationally. These plants are powerful as they are deadly and care must be taken. However if approached with respect, understanding, and knowledge it can be a very powerful and transformative tool.

I've used it as a styptic to stop bleeding from small cuts and numb the pain when I'm gardening. A pinch of a flower crushed and applied works wonders. Poisoned I'm not sure, I grow and handle regularly Brugs, Dats, Henbane and Belladonna. Had all of them snap and sap on my arms in the past. Really I've only had as far as slightly dilate pupils and enhanced colours and vision. Very useful for winter mornings foraging as can see better in the dark, distinguish shades of green better and shapes are very defined. Keeps you quite warm feeling too. But never so far as 'poisoned' to be honest. After a lot of contact, oft prolonged. Its more noticable in effect if the weather or space is warm to hot and especially so if sweating. Though a little caution is always better than consequence.

I’m all about plant medicines and raising consciousness. Ive done dmt, salvia, mescaline, high doses of psilocybin in silent darkness etc But some of my favourite plants ever are brugmansia and datura.. and that’s solely just cos of my fear/fascination for these plants. So beautiful, but so crazy. A delirium. I would never consume, but still totally fascinating that this is what a plant can do. Although most of what you hear about trip reports and fatal poisoning are totally true, most of the scopolamine stories are old wives tales.

All these answers are in the film, but never, ever touch this plant. It's a natural born killer.

Do bees like it? What effect would honey from bees that have exclusively interacted with this flower, have?

It's actually a moth that activates the plant around the full moon. But in Colombia bees are used to gather thc from cannabis, and the honey is infused with cannabinoids.

I knew the truth attracted by this plant, I'm from Brazil, and I and some other people, (Xamãs) discovered a religion through this plant, whoever wants to know more, get in touch. but I tell you everything has a reason, everything has a cause, everything has an entrance and everything has an exit, He who enters the spiritual world will be doomed to live with him for the rest of his life! don't play with things would be!

Brugmansia are not self fertile. You need 2 different varieties for them to pollinate and produce seeds. If you have just 1 brugmansia variety it will never produce seeds.

That is one poor Brugmansia. Hardly any flowers?! Maybe in Colombia they don't bloom in central-european summer, although it's north of the equator and the vid is posted 03/08. So, in conclusion: a poor Angel Trumpet for the season and the region, if you ask me. Maybe you consumed or traded most of the flowers by the time you shot the vid, who knows ? You know what you're talking about, clearly. The red Brugmansia Sanguinea is a relatively harmless version. It's a northern stem, so you or your customers will have a slightly more hard time slipping into other worlds. If there are any...
