History ASMR: The Crusades (3 hours+ bedtime story)
In this bedtime story made to help you relax or fall asleep, I tell you the story of the crusades to the Holy Land, from 1096 to 1302. This is a re edition of the story I published in 3 parts.
We take a look at medieval politics, societies, diplomacy and warfare, in the Christian and Muslim worlds, and I tell you about the many episodes, twists and historical figures involved (like Godfrey of Bouillon, Saladin, Richard the Lionheart, Frederick II or Saint Louis.

For me, the truly amazing thing is that he's doing it across multiple subjects. Fantasy, science, astronomy, history, mythology, religion. Sure, there's some degree of overlap, but it's damn impressive having that kind of range considering how deep he goes into each topic.

Turks indeed had a decisive role in triggering historical major events like the Migration Period, Crusades, Age of Discovery as well as ending the Middle Ages with the conquest of Constantinople, fall of the Roman Empire.

Except the so called turks in the crusade times were not the ppl we now call turks. To a crusader a turks basically just meant a Muslim. It wasn't a nationality like it is now.

Interesting the crate at the beginning had a bunch of baltic pagan symbols on it, that you would have seen if you were a part of the Northern Crusades against the Baltic tribes.
