MUGHAL EMPIRE:- * 1st battle of Panipat - April 20, 1526 - Afghan Khema (50000 men) VS Mughal Sena(12000 men) - Fought between Babur and Ibrahim Lodhi. - Babur used artillery guns and matchlock musket rifles. - Babur also used Tulugma tactics (flank attacks). - Result: Victory of Babur * Muhammad Zahiruddin Babur(1526-1530):- - Founder of the Mughal Empire. - Descendent of Timur(father's side) and Ghanghis Khan(mother's side) -. His original name was Zahiruddin Muhammad - In 1494 at the age of 11, Babur became the king of Farghana(at present Uzbekistan) succeeding Umar Shaikh Mirza, his father. People there were discontented with Babur's rule and Babur had to flee from there. - He came to Punjab plains in ambition of looting wealth. - Daulat Khan, the most powerful noble of Punjab, who was discontented with Ibrahim Lodhi, invited Babur to invade India. But he didn't return. - In 1527, Babur faced a powerful confederacy led by Rana Sangram Singh in battle of Khanwa - 1528: Battle of Chanderi against Medini Rai - 1529: Battle of Ghagra against Md Lodhi
