Historical Hair Oil Transformed Her Hair Overnight!

Historical hair oiling grew my own hair from chin length to tailbone length, and today we are trying it on Edyta’s straight blonde hair as a masque to see what happens!
Historical hair oiling (in various forms) has been used all around the world for as long as we can tell, and it is a time-tested way to grow longer, thicker, and healthier hair. I am now selling my own hair oil blend that I have been using different iterations of for many years, and I have spent the past several months refining and perfecting it. But whether you use my herbal hair oil blend, or just a bottle of olive oil from your kitchen, the benefits of regular hair oiling are enormous.

Any recommendations for someone who has difficulty parting their hair a bunch of different ways/times to apply the oil and doesn't have anyone to help? I really want to use this technique, but my joints won't tolerate all the parting.

Hi Katherine, Thank you for this video presentation. I have hair similar to your type. I am a long haired male, 45, Caucasian, dark brown wavy to curly hair, type 2B/2C. I have average thickness hair, all natural hair with just the tiniest amount of grey mixed in. I am fairly handsome, so have some eye appeal for a model. I would love to be in your next hair oiling video assuming you would like to try this process on another hair type to promote your products to consumers. I live in the New York area but willing to travel. Let me know if this is something you might wish to try. I enjoy your channel very much.

I’m getting sleepy just watching and I’m only 8 minutes in. I did the dry shampoo from your last video and my hair still feels clean with a daily scalp massage followed by a light brushing. I don’t know when I’ll actually need to wet it again. I’ve been a bit concerned about developing a funky odour but hubby assures me my hair still smells nice. I used lavender and frankincense EO in the powder. Also, there was no need to worry about the cocoa powder discolouring my fair hair. I’m so thankful for all of your great hair care tips.

Your ingredients are fantastic in this oil. I have all the ingredients already (because I make a lot of products myself) except I ran out of the rose oil. I have to steep some more. I read the story of Mlle. Aline Vallandri hair and she was ahead of her time. I am afraid to constantly brush my hair all the like she dos though. Shame her recipe can not be shared but I hazard to guess we use similar ingredients nowadays if not better. Perhaps.

Hello👋, I've read that it's bad to rub the dropper on the scalp and throughout the hair, then put inside the bottle, because that transfers bacteria, sebum, dust, etc. from the hair into the rest of the oil. Therefore, contaminates and spoils it faster. Even when its clean there's still a risk. Please🙏, what is your opinion on this?

  • @KatherineSewing

    @KatherineSewing

    12 күн бұрын

Yes you're right, technically the best practice is to try not to touch it to the scalp. In my personal experience, I have never had a problem with this, however. But if you are worried try to avoid touching it to your scalp. You could drop the oil onto your finger tips and apply it like that.

I've been using a combination of castor, argon, and rosemary oil on my scalp and hair once per week, followed by washing, deep conditioning (20 minutes under dryer) rinsing then leave in conditioning and curl gel/cream. My hair is gray and low porosity, so it's prone to frizz, split ends and some breakage. Add to that that since I'm elderly my hair has thinned significantly over the years (post menopausal). This past oiling cycle, I ended up with a couple of pimples on my scalp! I've never had that happen before. I'm not sure if it was because I left the oil on for longer than usual before washing, or it was a new deep conditioner I tried even though it was an all natural product.🤷‍♀️ Anyway, I wondered if your product might be more beneficial for me based on my parameters (gray, textured, low porosity, etc.)?

It's unlikely, but it could possibly darken over time due to the amla. Do a strand test first.

Anybody here ever use a comb made from animal horn? It's supposed to also distribute the oil along the hair. My hair is really long, straight, and tangles easily. I ordered a wide tooth horn comb to try along with my wooden and boar bristle brushes. Thanks for demonstration on a straight hair model, maybe some tips will help me.

I remember in the past using coconut oil which created fab curls but lots of hair falling. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Tania ❤

Sometimes if oil is overused/not rinsed out well enough this can happen. You could try using less oil, switching to a lighter type of oil, and washing it out more thoroughly.

Is this hair oil also suitable for grey, curly-kinky and coarse hair over 60? My hair is long, but the structure is a real mess (i am oiling my scalp and lengths with an ayurvedic hair oil every week and do clay washes, apple cider rinses or wash my hair with a special mild shampoo for neurodermitis after the oiling). The new grey or white hair growing out is standing like wiry, kinky antennas around my head 😢

Yes definitely. I agree with the other commenter- that sounds like new hair growth and increased hair strength to me. I currently have that going on with my new growth. It's a good sign and it will settle down as the hair grows in more.

i dont understand why oils work for some people and for me they just dont. My hair becomes greasy and even if i wash it thoroughly, the hair either feels heavy and gross, or becomes sticky the next day. I noticed that much lighter products like serums, gels or natural leave in conditioners work better, but still, the softness doesnt last more than a day.

Yes, you may be using too much oil, too heavy of an oil, or simply not rinsing it out enough. Try using half the amount of oil next time and see what happens.

I find watermelon seed oil is like water. You could dilute heavier oils with it or use it alone. Also you can dilute an oil blend with pure aloe Vera gel. Just dilute it every time you want to oil your hair and not mix it in the oil bottle. It will contaminate it. Just some suggestions that have helped me. 👍🏼

Add the shampoo to your dry hair ,massage across your scalp a bit, then gradually add the water. Putting water first, followed by shampoo will not wash out excessive oil.

I am having a struggle with my hair routine; it’s been ongoing for a few months now…I’ve been using your clay-wash recipe and the rinse as well, but my hair is absolutely awful! It feels waxy and even more difficult to comb out. I finger de-tangle and I got wooden combs…almost everything, but I can’t get anything through it. It does seem to be growing and not falling out quite so my hair, so am I doing something wrong? It’s also very fly-away…a lot of static.

@@andreeas2481 you watched my videos? Wow, that’s awesome! Thank you! I haven’t made any new ones in some time though. Anyway, my hair routine at that time was not so “natural” and the trouble I was having then was that my hair was falling out in clumps due to thyroid issues, but I was also experiencing allergic reactions to the ingredients of my shampoos and conditioners. So I’m trying to navigate away from all of that, but now it’s just gross…I have to wash my hands every time I touch my hair. My combs are caked with a waxy disgusting build up from just one use. I have wavy hair but the from drys straight…I don’t dye or perm or anything like that…It even stopped growing at all for a couple years…
