A historic event was held in Yeshivas Mir on Motzei Shabbos in honor of the tenth yahrzeit of the late Mirrer Rosh Yeshivah, HaGaon HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel, z’tl.
The event was honored by the presence of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, the Gadol HaDor’s first-ever visit to the illustrious yeshivah.
A Siyum HaShas by bnei yeshiva, who finished Shas 51 times, was celebrated l’illui nishmas HaRav Finkel, z’tl. Below is a photo of philanthropist Reb Shlomo Rechnitz finishing Shas:
On the instructions of the police, a back entrance was opened especially for the event and a special tent was arranged for HaRav Chaim to reach the event,
Buses were arranged from nearby Chareidi cities and Jerusalem neighborhoods to the event.

The Rav does not look well. Why are these people putting him through this. From what I have been told by rabbis in EY, he doesn’t even take visitors anymore.

@Joseph Kiruv the Rav doesn’t even appear alert and energetic to be able to give chizuk. He looks like he is falling asleep.

He is the most respected, studious and intelligent person. If he came, it was because he chose to come and found it to be a worthwhile and valuable. It means he did not consider it a disruption of his learning nor a health risk.

For the Passover Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. Exodus 12:5-6 The lamb had to be without blemish (Christ).a male of the first year ( Adam,Christ is the second Adam).taken from the sheep or goats(Christ will come from people who serve either the creator or the creature ) Kept til the 14th day of the month(14 generations from David to Christ) And the whole assembly of congregation of Israel shall kill it.( the crucifixion) As with the Passover ,only the blood of the lamb can save you from Gods wrath.
