Man Katherines Landing sure has changed! I lived and worked there in the early 90's in my Airstream...what a 🎉 party! That boat repair building you saw is where they maintain rental boats...mostly pontoon party houseboats.😎

Ruiss, we followed your footsteps along Hwy 60 across NM and Arizona. Man that Billy The Kid Museum was with it. Only $4.00 and I could have spent half a day there. We also visited the ruins at Socorro and then Pie Town. The only bad mistake I made was going on 89a through Jerome late in the evening. Oh that road. Thanks for showing us so much. Havagudun and stay safe.

Senior Pass is the way to go. I got mine when they were only $10, paid back on the first use. Now they are $80 and that is still a great deal. Just visit 3 or 4 parks and get 1/2 price camping. Doesn't take long to recoup the cost.

Well, Russ my father picked up a 1957 Plymouth Desoto bran new in 1960. It was a pink Desoto with the 450 Himiny engine. It had a hard tip white top but he got a heck of a deal. We took it to Phoenix in 1964, my first time every to AZ.

You can see the different type of rock in tailings and if you pay attention to the large cobbles you can see all that area was an ancient river bed ........ 🙋‍♀️Before You Tube came into my life, I thought the dessert was just a barren place with no life. All sand, dunes, cactus, & lizards. It is amazing how beautiful the dessert really is, with all the neat hidden gems we discover out there. Kind of brings back memories of how Gomer Pyle would always say to Sargent Carter, surprise surprise surprise! I enjoyed our day trip to Katherine's Landing. The boat ramp looked a little congested looking in a age for social distancing? Have a really good day Russ! 😊 Beautiful video brings out the blue colors of the sky, lake, various browns in the rock, sand, & the greenery in the shrubs👍

Russ, looks like you missed the cut-off date (August 28, 2017) for that lifetime senior pass, it was only $10 prior to that date. More than 1/3 of the seniors as of that date... didn’t get the opportunity to get in on the deal, and that was simply shameful of the NPS. Would have made sense to have the cut-off date on Dec 31st. This access pass is still a great deal for seniors even... at $80, and it’s great that you always mention it in your videos 👊😎

If you go north on 93 To Cottonwood Rd.....15 miles.....you go back west about 20 miles to the lake. It is more primitive camping/trails and access. Across the River would be Cottonwood Cove Marina. Always travel with lots of water! A few weeks ago they issued a warning for swimming in the water....over use by inconsiderate campers dumping there sewage in the lake....idiots!
