Why Doris Kearns Goodwin believes in the U.S. and the Boston Red Sox

Author and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin joined Boston Public Radio to discuss her new book "An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960's." Both she and her late husband Richard (Dick) Goodwin worked in the LBJ administration -- the last time U.S. campuses were filled with anti-war protests. Goodwin reflects on today's demonstrations, the 1960's and why history gives her hope for the future of the U.S.

Wait till next year: A memoir. She wrote this book about her early Catholic school days and her being a Brooklyn Dodgers fan. She would keep score while listening to the game on the radio. And when her father would come home from work she would play back the whole game for her dad. Read this memoir, you won't be disappointed!

I doubt it but I’m a pessimist. Hope she’s right.

Her eyes look so big. She must be so small. But she has written what may be THE BOOK on interacting productivly with Alpha Males, having done that with 3 US Presidents and associated alpha men and women. Hear her speak, sense her values, calibrate her thinking and understand why nothing less than survival of the human race could hinge on more women being as actualized, free, and effective at BEING.
