Hisense A6G TV Review (2021) - Can Hisense Win The Cheap TV Market?

Ғылым және технология

We tested the entry-level Hisense A6G, the only TV in Hisense's 2021 lineup without QLED technology. We'll look at the individual test results in this video and show how it performs for various types of content. We'll also see how it stacks up to LG's budget offering, the LG UP7000, to see how it compares. Does the A6G offer a good price-to-performance ratio, and can Hisense win the cheap TV market?

They seriously need to fix the way these companies name their TVs. All those different versions just confuse the consumer and it's getting silly now.

Thank you for reviewing a lower end TV. As you said, it is a good candidate for a bedroom TV. I'll grant you that your regular viewers most likely prefer higher end models, but this helps with perspective. It is very difficult to explain the benefits of higher end TVs to the average person. This type of review reinforces the benefit of spending a little more. Great channel!

Love your A6G review, my go-to favourite reviewers 😆 My father is asking me to look for a new TV for him and he wants a 85’’+ TV, we looked at the your reviews but not everything was available in our local area, so now we have our eyes on the sony X900H and other TVs usually new. We’re looking forward to your review on the 2021 LG UP8050 😁

I love the reviews this channel does! Great work. I have bought many TVs in all sizes up to 85 inch. With that in mind, if you are not used to great quality and don’t know much or care much about constantly looking into specs….most midgrade TVs will look amazing to you. For those of you who like supreme quality like myself, you can definitely tell the difference in TVs. It’s just all in what your used too. My brother in law thinks my tv in my pool table room is amazing, then when he sees the tv in my theatre room he is blown away. He just doesn’t know or care about TVs like I do.

I’m thinking about this as a Dakboard solution to display family photos, weather, and calendar information. Given that type of content, I think the pros should outweigh the cons. I’ll be wall mounting over a fireplace so the IPS panel of the 43” version should serve us well. Thank you for posting this review!

I bought this tv yesterday the Hisense 55A6100G, 55 being the size in Malaysia. This is a great review very accurate review. You get what you pay for. For me because of my budget this is the second choice to the Xiaomi which is cheaper but had lesser colour accuracy. This tv is good that's my verdict for it's price and specifications in it's class. I would recommend it for those with a budget constraint the colors are great the refresh rate is good and overall I'm very happy. For a better tv spend big. Cheers.

I bought this TV to replace a 13 year old LCD that at its time was one of the best TV’s money could buy. Had a read online, was only £329 and I got a £329 TV. Nothing jumps out at it but what do you expect for paying that little. For the majority of TV that is watched on it “BabyTV & Kids TV” it’s fine. There is a lot worse out there for more but totally agree about the sound quality. Worst built in speakers I’ve ever heard on a TV. But times have changed, no point in spending thousands for a TV that is for the kids in the living room. Once they are older I will drop major coin again. But to anyone wanting to buy this, get a sound bar/surround, move all lights out of view of the screen and it’s decent for the price.

What's the difference between A6G & A6GR? I can't seem to find any review about the A6GR. On the Heisense webpage, it says it does have HDMI 2.1 and a "Game Mode". I found the 50'' one at around $411 in my country, so does that mean the A6GR supports 120hz 4k? Since I'm on a budget, I was thinking it's a good deal for the price, since I want it to play on my PS5 and watch movies.

I bought the 43" model for bedroom use. It had a low-level buzzing sound. After 1 repair attempt it was finally replaced by Hisense. When the new one arrived it had the same issue. I can only assume it's just cheap parts. Put it in the spare bedroom and bought a Sony.

If you're happy with it, then that's all that really matters. Ultimately though, it isn't good for gaming compared to some other high end options, which is why we make that statement. It may also help to check out the hdr gaming score breakdown of our review to see why it earned the score that it did. If you hover your cursor over the question mark next to the score, that could help clear things up as well. www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/a6g But again, if you're happy, that's all that matters!

Yes it is expensive but so is QN900A and it was reviewed and it will become even cheaper (75" Z8H is now cheaper than 65" A90J) and it is a probably the best LCD on the market as other reviews of Z8H showed it was and Z9J is even better, please like that comment of you think like me

Great question! This is definitely a great budget option to use as a PC monitor. Since it has wide viewing angles, the edges of the screen remain accurate if you're sitting close to it. There are a few other options listed here: www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-usage/pc-monitor That might also be worth considering! :)

We definitely understand the confusion. Better overall may just not have been phrased properly, sorry about that. Ultimately, it does have much better color accuracy which *should* be a big plus for those that care about that sort of thing. Also, it has an IPS panel so it's better for bright rooms. But it's definitely going to depend on your needs, and the choice can go either way from user to user. Sorry once again for the confusion!

These TVs are actually good for most average consumers. If you game, watch 4K steaming or blu rays, and have a bright room, these budget TVs are really a bad buy. However, if you mainly watch regular HD TV at night after work and not much else, it’s gonna be just fine.

@@TheRealAmerican12 I’d get a 55 in LG C1 OLED and sit closer for gaming in a dark room. Larger than that causes eye strain sitting 4-5 ft away. If you’re sitting further or in a bright room, get either the 55-65 in Hisense U8G. I use the OLED for gaming and the Hisense in my living room. Works out great.

This is so freaking decadent. Do you guys know what OLED tvs cost? Nobody can pay that much. Over 500 dollars for a tv? That's crazy. Those cheaper TV's are alright for gaming the same way. There's this elitist mindset flying around from people who are obviously rich which really bugs me.

  • @RTINGSdotcom

The Hisense A6G and the Hisense A6H are very similar overall. The more recent A6H runs a newer smart interface, known as Google TV 11, instead of the older Android TV platform. It's a bit more polished and easy to use. The A6H also supports variable refresh rate technology, which helps improve the overall gaming experience by reducing visible tearing in some games. As far as overall picture quality goes, there's very little difference between these two TVs. So, if any of those above differences don’t stand out to you, then it may not be worth the hassle!
