This song still brings tears to my eyes. Any believer who listens to the words cannot help but be moved at the incredible love of our Savior and His truly selfless act of giving up His glory in heaven to go to that cold, cruel cross on our behalf, all out of love. He did that for ME, and it still amazes me. The mighty creator God, the God who walked with and sustained David and Daniel, did that for ME and wants to be personally involved in MY life. This song is beautiful but also theologically compelling. Great job, Ben. As much as I love, "And Can It Be?," I think this is now my favorite hymn. Praise His name!

My absolute favorite hymn. Requested my family to sing this at my funeral.

I have never heard a song so completely and thoroughly present the Gospel message. Anyone who can successfully use the word Propitiation as a lyric is amazing! One of my favorites!

I couldn’t have said it better myself....I’ve spent quite a bit of time searching for a version I could understand all the words. What a beautiful message and reminder o what Christ has done for us. And by such a talented and captivating voice!

Thank you so much, Mr. Everson! I really needed to hear this song tonight!! I've been having some health problems recently, and today was a particularly hard day... It is so good to be reminded that, no matter how hard my problems seem, Christ went through so, so much more, and He did it all for me, just because He loved me! I needed to be reminded that, no matter my struggles here on earth, my eternity is sure and I can rest in His sacrifice and love!!

Moving song about righteousness by faith. Reminds me about a book entitled "His Robe or mine" by Frank Philips. Thank you for singing the amazing love of God!

Its cool to see this song get such a quality video it deserves it . The gentleman that wrote this song is a brother of the recently retired pastor of our western WI baptist church

One thing I love about this wonderful rendition is that I can understand every word. Having a hearing loss, I find many performances beautiful, but almost gibberish. I love this song. Classic Lutheran Doctrine!
