His Kingdom Foretold - Isaiah 9:6-7 - Skip Heitzig

His Kingdom Foretold - Isaiah 9:6-7
This past month, we have seen that Jesus is the personification of hope. He is Hope Foretold. The prophets predicted His birth, His life, and His death. They also looked far ahead into the future and predicted His reign. In preparation for our next series on end-time events, let’s take a peek into the prophets' forecast of the future reign of Christ as King of the world He created.
This teaching is from our series Jesus: Hope Foretold with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.

The Christians say this text is a prophecy about Jesus 9 :6/7 For a child has been born to us, a son given to us, and the authority is upon his shoulder, and the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, called his name, "the prince of peace."To him who increases the authority, and for peace without end, on David's throne and on his kingdom, to establish it and to support it with justice and with righteousness; from now and to eternity, the zeal of the Lord of Hosts shall accomplish this. This text is the continuation of the reference to the King of Hezekiah Look : justice from now and to eternity … : For a child has been born to us: Although Ahaz is wicked, his son who was born to him many years ago [nine years prior to his assuming the throne] to be our king in his stead, shall be a righteous man, and the authority of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His yoke shall be on his shoulder, for he shall engage in the Torah and observe the commandments, and he shall bend his shoulder to bear the burden of the Holy One, blessed be He. and… called his name: The Holy One, blessed be He, Who gives wondrous counsel, is a mighty God and an everlasting Father, called Hezekiah’s name, “the prince of peace,” since peace and truth will be in his days. To him who increased the authority: To whom will He call this name? To the king who increases the authority of the Holy One, blessed be He, upon himself, to fear Him. authority: an expression of government :This is to refute the allegations of the Christians. But it is possible to say that “Prince of Peace,” too, is one of the names of the Holy One, blessed be He, and this calling of a name is not actually a name but an expression of (var. for the purpose of) greatness and authority. Comp. (Ruth 4:11) “And be famous in Bethlehem. Also (II Sam. 7:9, I Chron. 17:8): ” And I shall make for you a name.“ Here too, Scripture means, ” And He gave him a name and authority."] and for peace: which is given to him, there will be no end, for he had peace on all his sides, and this “end” is not an expression of an end to eternity, but there will be no boundaries. On the throne of the kingdom of David shall this peace be justice and righteousness that Hezekiah performed. and for peace: This ‘vav’ is to rectify the word, thus: He [Hezekiah] increased the authority upon his shoulder, and what reward will He [God] pay him? Behold, his peace shall have no end or any limit. from now and to eternity: The eternity of Hezekiah, viz. all his days. And so we find that Hannah said concerning Samuel (I Sam. 1:22): “and abide there forever.” And, in order to refute the Christians who claim that : (Prince of Peace) is their deity:Jesus], we can refute them [by asking], What is the meaning of: “from now” ? Is it not so that the “deity” did not come until after Six hundred years and more? the zeal of the Lord of Hosts: Who was zealous for Zion concerning what Aram and Pekah planned about it. shall accomplish this: but Ahaz does not deserve it, moreover, the merit of the Patriarchs has terminated. Theologians said : The Holy One, blessed be He, wished to make Hezekiah the Messiah and Sennacherib, Gog and Magog. Said the ministering angels before the Holy One, blessed be He, Should the one who stripped the doors of the Temple and sent them to the king of Assyria, be made Messiah? Christians say that these attributes apply only to Jesus: look at the Bible, we will find that these attributes were for other prophets and righteous and Angel as well : the mighty God : Genesis 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me Look Lord and God : Hagar is talking about an angel Psalm 82 :1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods Psalm 82 :6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Exodus 4 :1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet Jesus denied the divinity in its true sense and has never claimed it : John 10:31/36 ... Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? Jesus talks about the allegorical meaning If the Christians insist on saying that the meaning is real : What is the answer to this dilemma? John 20:17 ... I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God If Jesus is a true son of God, are the disciples also true sons? If Jesus, after his resurrection from the grave, has returned to his origin, that is, divinity Did Jesus not say about himself, I and my Father are one and I am in the Father, and the Father in me? How can he say about the father that he is his god? the everlasting Father Where do we find in the New Testament that Jesus is called in the name of the Father? the prince of peace Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; If the text of Isaiah says, Prince of Peace and Christians say that apply to Jesus, The text of the Hebrews quoted from the Old Testament says that King of Salem is the King of Peace , how is a King of Salem better than Jesus? He is the King of Peace and Jesus is the Prince of Peace This text is explicit in Hezekiah, because he is the one who is inferior to King of Salem and for peace without end, on David's throne and on his kingdom Going back to the Old Testament, we find that the same attributes were for Solomon 1 Chronicles 22:9/10 and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days ... and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever 1 Kings 2: but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD Look at the word : and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever and be peace forever Did the kingdom of Israel remain after Solomon, and did it remain forever? Was he on the throne and kingdom of David forever peace?

Honestly you're splitting hairs all of those references are so general you can make them apply to anything if you want just ask Jesus to show you and he will show you and you quote and have read all those scriptures about "Peace for ever" there's absolutely no peace in Israel right now because they are totally lacking in any divine attributes in the way they treat the Palestinians there is no love and compassion there is only cruelty and hate so you can know all the scriptures you like from the Old Testament to justify whatever you want to do but their hearts are far from God and every wicked Zionist will be judged just like everybody else on the planet, no special concessions because knowing scriptures is not enough, you have to know God as friend and Father. What more could he do to show love than send himself in his son the first of many brethren. I pray the eyes of your heart may be opened to see the truth. It is not your land your brother's live there too until you can have unity in the house you will fall.

Trinitarians love to use this verse to promote the Trinity. “His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 The problem is: this translation comes from an Alexandrian manuscript from Egypt which was found in a trash can with a lot of words blacked out! The Septuagint notes that the Alexandrian manuscript added the following: “Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty One, Potentate, Prince of Peace.” All of these names but one are gone in the NEB. “His name is called the Messenger of Great Counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes and health to him.” Isaiah 9:6 NEB

Wonderful counselor and mighty God was mis translated. It should read mighty counselor and mighty warrior or mighty one.....its in Ezekiel as well translated that way....Jesus was not God. He didn't know where the end time was and said only the father knows so if he was God he would have known when the end was.....the trinity is a Roman catholic lie don't be deceived into worshipping 3 gods in one instead of the only one true God yaweh who sent his begotten son because God couldn't die and he dwelt within Jesus and gave him authority to heal and forgive and teach...God didn't give authority to himself so he wasn't Jesus....Jesus is the one true mediator between us and God the father....

Yahweh has made himself known to man in the scriptures and past times through manifestations, Yahweh is the father and pure spirit and in the beginning he said let there be light and that light is Elohim whereby he communicated with the prophets through visions and revelations And also manifestations a man, he became a son like us and walked with Moses and led the Israelites through the Red Sea and again through the River Jordan and fought the battles for them just like he said he would and defeated 33 kings which made him king of kings, and this was Yahshua and not Joshua for the world today replaced the Yah with Ja. And then he was later born of a woman and became a man and fulfilled the law and prophets the things written and afore told of him he was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world he was crucified died, buried and resurrected the third day according to scriptures, he is one Elohim he is A Unity He showed us he is a father he became a son like us and is the holt spirit Elohim or righteousness spirit which is also the same Yahshua in us the only hope and glory🙏

All words or actions by Yahshua were in fulfillment of the law and prophets so when he said Eli Eli Sabach ta na he is fulfilling what Adam is feeling being forsaken, he showed us in Romans 1:19-20 that if we look at the physical creation we can understand his supernal nature, he died at 33 and he is the living waters that flow from the belly when preached and also if we look at the manifestation of water it is vapor, liquid and ice but still water in all, ice melts at 33degrees 🤔❤️🙏

So did God die on the cross? Or God dwelled in Jesus like he dwells in us as well. Jesus was a man that was given authority. If he was God then why did he need to be given authority? Why did Jesus pray to God? The word was with God and was God was mistranslated. They are adjectives not nouns. God was perfect like the word so God was the word but not literally. And jesus didn't exist before..the spoken word existed. The word was not a spirit or form in the beginning. It was spoken words by God then God created the spirit and the word.....

This is not about Jesus. This is about King Hezekiah. If you read it in context. This story is about the Assyrian army of 185,000 men who died overnight when they challenged Jerusalem. King Hezekiah ran to the temple and cried out to God for help and told his people to trust in the Mighty God of Israel to help them. The people did as they were told and woke up to 185,000 soldiers laying dead. In most English translations these verses are changed to the future tense to make it seem like a prophecy. When in the Hebrew language it’s in what we would call the past tense, or perfect tense in Hebrew. Meaning it already happened. These are the only passages translated to English where the translators Manipulate the verbs in this way. This is why you have to research and study what the true meaning of Gods word is. Just for comparison sake, below is the real translation. I will put the really popular NASB translation below so you can compare and see the manipulation. “For a Child is born unto us, a Son is given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Strong Ěl, Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His rule and peace there is no end, upon the throne of Dawiḏ and over His reign, to establish it and sustain it with right-ruling and with righteousness from now on, even forever. The ardour of יהוה of hosts does this. יהוה sent a word against Ya‛aqoḇ, and it has fallen on Yisra’ĕl.” ‭‭Yeshayah (Isaiah)‬ ‭9:6-8‬ ‭TS2009‬‬ “For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of armies will accomplish this.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

I like the knowledge about certain topics this pastor has but im sorry to say there is no trinity in God's word. Jesus was a son and has always been a son. Even in the isaiah 9:6 the bible says a son is Given. Not that God became a son or that God came down and wrapped himself in flesh we don't read that. We read that God sent his son. John 3:16 we read that God has a son psalms 2:2,7,12 we read that God son has a name proverb 30:4 let me drop this little nugget on you. It's amazing that every time Jesus is mentioned he is somebody's son. He is the son of David, the Son of Abraham, the Son of man and the Son of God. Matthew 1:1 Abraham & David Mark 2:28 Son of man. Matthew 16:16 Son of God. God really has a son. The son is not his own father. Acts 3:13 The God of the old testament has a son. Listen to Jesus john 20:17 God is his father and our Father his God and our God.

the name Jesus does not mean mighty god, only one name in all the bible means mighty god. the name is Hezekiah \ Hizke-yahu \Hebrew: חִזְקִיָּהוּ 1) he started quoting correctly Isaiah 9:6 that starts with "For a child IS born to us",meaning the child had already been born during Isaiah time which is 700 years before Jesus. in the verse, the Hebrew word "YULAD" is past perfect tense meaning was born or is now born. however many mainstream christian translation say: "For a child will be born to us". that is a mis translation aiming to manipulate the text to fit the Jesus narrative. 2) "and he will be given the name" - again mistranslation. the Hebrew words "VA-YIKRA SHEMO" is past perfect or present tense meaning is/was called. if you dont believe me go to Leviticus Chapter 1:1 look how the first word in the verse -VA-YIKRA (וַיִּקְרָ֖א). you will see it is translated in the christian bible in the past tense which is a correct translation, while in Isaiah 9:5 they changed the same word to the future tense. 3) Isaiah is talking about the great miracle of the destruction of the Assyrian army during Hezekiah, the king reigning during Isaiah time. the name Hezekiah contains two Hebrew words. first word "HAZAK" means Mighty second word "YAHO" means god - mighty god. Hezekiah is called "Wonder of a Counsellor" because he counselled the Jewish people in Jerusalem, persuading them to repent for their sins and put their trust in god. and because they did as he counselled them, 185,000 of Assyrian soldiers surrounding Jerusalem were wiped out by the god of host (II Chronicles 31 and 32). Hezekiah is called "the everlasting Father" because this name is a sign, which foretells that God will add years to his life and also because the Davidic dynasty was once more confirmed as the only true kingly rule that God would accept over his people (Isaiah 38:5). Hezekiah is called "the ruler of peace" because this name is a sign, which foretells that God would be merciful to him. Punishment for lack of faith in the Almighty will be deferred and peace granted during the last years of his rule (Isaiah 39:8; 2 Chronicles @). but names can be interpreted any way we want. lets look at parts of the verses and ask our selves can this guy be Jesus? 4) "dominion will rest on his shoulders" - the original Hebrew is in the present tense " VA-TEHI" (is upon): "and the government is upon his shoulder" again, Isaiah speak about someone living in his time, not 700 years or 2700 years after him (second coming). in any case, Jesus died as a criminal under roman government. Hezekiah held the government of Judea on his shoulders. 5) "in order to extend the dominion" - again mistranslation. the Hebrew word "MISRA" translate to "government" not dominion, a specifically Political government role. Jesus was never a politician, Hezekiah was. 6) "and perpetuate the peace of the throne and kingdom of David" - Jesus or his church never perpetuate peace or the kingdom of David. Hezekiah on the other hand did - "peace reigned for the rest of his life" (2 Chronicles @) 7) "to secure it (the kingdom of David) and sustain it through justice and righteousness henceforth and forever". did Jesus do that? absolutely not. things only went down hill for Judea since before the time of Jesus and after him. Hezekiah on the other hand cleansed the temple and his kingdom from idolatry and he is considered the most righteous Jewish king that ever lived and he perpetuated the Davidic dynasty. 8) The zeal of Adonai - Tzva’ot will accomplish this. Adonai - Tzva’ot means the lord of host. god of host was the one who destroyed the Assyrian army during Hezekiah conflict with king of Assyria. this prophecy speak of how god accomplished peace and security to Judea, but according to your religion god punished Judea because of Jesus. these are the points that prove beyond any doubt that Isaiah cant be speaking about Jesus. if your going to tell me that Isaiah was speaking about the second coming of Jesus, well im sorry, im not going to wait another 2000 years for this baseless interpretation to come true. you've been lied to. if you believe in the word of god then all you have is the Torah. not the mistranslated manipulated christian bible, not the new testament, not the book of Mormons and not the Quran.

Okay. I can't let this go. Hezekiah in Hebrew means "the Mighty God". It has nothing to do with Jesus. None of Isaiah 9:5. Right. 9:5. Not 9:6. That's a Christian bible. The FIRST bible ever written was Tanakh. Not KJV or NIV or any Christian bible. But the Christians have been very good about miss translating our Bible. The first ever to be written. Ever! And Christians, learn to speak Hebrew. The bible was not written in Greek or Latin. It was translated into those languages. BTW, Hezekiah was considered the greatest Hebrew KING.

@@selalmng Below is a quote in both English and Hebrew from the Hebrew bible regarding Isaiah 9:6 in the KJV, which is actually Isaiah 9:5 in the Hebrew bible. 'For a child has been born to us, a son given to us, and the authority is upon his shoulder, and the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, called his name, "the prince of peace." Notice the difference in the wording above from the Hebrew bible compared to the KJV, read it very carefully. Can you see how the wording in the KJV has been doctored & manipulated? This occurs quite a few times throughout the New Testament when quoting from the Hebrew bible, and this is just one example! Equally important, Isaiah is referring to a child that has already been born, (Past Tense). The Hebrew word ''יֻלַּד'' (Yulad) means ''was born'' (Past Tense) which shows this quite clearly and this word is used in other parts of the Hebrew bible to mean exactly that. See the following: Genesis 4:26, Genesis 35:26, Judges 18:29, Jeremiah 20:15, Psalms 87:5, Ruth 4:16-17 Also, the word ''וַיִּקְרָ֨א'' (Vayikra) means ''was called, or cried''. The word is used to refer to something that has already been named, Past Tense. See the following examples: Genesis 1:5, Genesis 3:20, Genesis 25:26, Isaiah 21:8, Isaiah 36:13 The New Testament tries to imply that the child mentioned in the verse is ''baby Jesus'', and is called ''Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.'', when in actual fact, the child is only called "the prince of peace" by the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father. Just to clarify what the Hebrew bible actually says, the child being spoken about is not ''the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father'', he is just "the prince of peace". In any case, even if the Christian translation of the verse were accurate, and that was the child's Divine name, it does not mean that the child is in fact G-d. There are quite a few examples in the Hebrew bible of people or things that are given Divine names but are obviously not G-d. See: Genesis 33:20, Exodus 17:15, Judges 6:24, Jeremiah 33:16, 1 Samuel 1:1, 1 Samuel 1:3, Judges 9:5, Exodus 21:6, Exodus 7:1. One has to read the whole of Isaiah chapter 9 in the correct context to understand it. So, who is the child (the prince of peace) that Isaiah is speaking about in chapter 9? Answer: King Hezekiah of Judah. He is the one who brings peace to the Jewish people with the miraculous help of G-d, (as of the day of Midian - Isaiah 9:3 & see 2 Kings 19:31-35 in Hebrew bible) by defeating the Assyrians who were threatening to destroy the kingdom of Judah.(the Jewish people) In conclusion, Isaiah chapter 9 is describing the miraculous victory of King Hezekiah and the Jewish people over the powerful Kingdom of Assyria at that time, similar to the miraculous victory of Gideon over the Midianites, alluded to in Isaiah 9:3 in the Hebrew bible. It is not speaking about a future event (Birth of Jesus)700 years later, it describes these events in the Past Tense. One does not speak about a future event in the Past Tense!

Jesus is a Prophet and not God as per the Bible. Matthew 13:57 English Standard Version And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.” Luke 24:19 English Standard Version And he said to them, “What things?” And they said to him, “Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, Matthew 21:11 English Standard Version And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.” Only GOD can bless anyone or anything Acts 3:13New International Version (NIV) 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified HIS SERVANT Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. The Bible says: Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man…" Hosea 11:9 "...For I am God, and not man..." Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible: John 8:40 "…a man who has told you the truth…" Acts 2:22 "Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know." Acts 17:31 "He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed" 1.Tim. 2:5 "…the man Christ Jesus." God is not a man, but Jesus, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, was a man, therefore, Jesus was not God. The Bible Says that God is Greater than Jesus John 14:28 "My Father is greater than I." John 10:29 "My father is greater than all." Jesus can not be God if God is greater than him. The belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus. Jesus Never Instructed His Disciples to Worship Himself or the Holy Ghost, but God and God Only Luke 11:2 "When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven." John 16:23 "In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name." John 4:23 "The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him." If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself. Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God. The Bible Says that Jesus Recognized, Prayed, & Worshipped the Only True God Jesus prayed to God with the words: John 17:3 "…that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." Jesus prayed to God all night: Luke 6:12 "he continued all night in prayer to God." …because: Matthew 20:28: "Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve." How did Jesus pray to God? Matthew 26:39: "he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father." Even Paul said: Hebrews 5:7 "During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission." Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face with loud cries and petitions? Was it himself? Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself! Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to "the only true God." Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him. Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God?

There is in fact, not a single prophecy naming Jesus or his Hebrew name Yahowsha. Moreover, the named subject of Isaiah 9:6 is King David not Jesus. Christianity has simply associated every prophecy naming David to Jesus. Furthermore, anyone can validate who the subject of Isaiah 9:6 is for certainty. The problem with religion in general is one tends to believe the pastors or rabbis have their best interest at heart. Let's do the work to verify 1600 years of Christian scholars have all misled their congregants, shall we? Navigate to Qbible, look for the Hebrew text of Isaiah 9. The English from the KJV will also appear on the page. Hover your mouse over the number boxes, the grammar will include an X along with 4 numbers. Hebrew includes Moods and Stems. When referring to the verse: "Unto us a child is born, unto us a child is given"... the mood is Paul, or past tense, while the Stem is Perfect denoting a completed action. The proper translation should read: Unto us a child WAS born, WAS given. Not will be but has been, the verse is speaking of a completed action not one to come. David bears all the traits of the verse. He was a king, a prince, brought peace to Israel. He shouldered a government, provided valuable council in the Psalms and Proverbs. The verse does not say he will be called Almighty God, but that he would be a mighty warrior. David is in fact the named anointed. This fits perfectly with the narrative of the entire end times prophecies. The one returning to rule over Israel is named as David (Dowd in Hebrew) Psalm 89 has Yahowah speaking in the first-person stating Dowd is His first-born son, and messiah (Mashiach/anointed one). Yahowah states Dowd will return in the flesh to once again defend Israel, his throne will be established, he will shine as bright at the sun. I know this will be hard or even impossible for a Christian to believe or comprehend. Most all of you will reject the truth and cling to what they have come to believe is truth. Keep in mind if one is not willing to go to where the words lead they are not interested in seeking God or His truth.
