He is truly like that ,too! (And I know I’m biased as his mother, but I’ve never seen anything like what he went through and he was STILL smiling! That’s why his doctor told him his smile saved his leg. He knew he could handle what was to come!)

Keren sih ini channel, podcastnya beda dengan podcast lokal. Saran saja banyakin bintang tamunya bule-bule melokal. Tidak harus youtuber ato influencer tapi bisa juga bule biasa yang nikah dengan orang Indonesia atau hal lainnya. Karena "mereka" hampir tidak pernah ada di podcast lokal tapi sebenarnya "mereka" ada dan kita tidak tahu ceritanya, yang mungkin menjadi inspirasi orang Indonesia. Waktunya juga diperpanjang lagi dengan pertanyaan yang lebih mendalam untuk lebih tahu kisah "mereka" di Indonesia. Undang Susan gypsy in sneakers yang mirip mantanku atau lost boys Semoga diterima sarannya bang joe dan bang demikian 😁😂

Guys, your team really need to do better. Joe was right, ‘gamelan’ refers to the entire ensemble. Each of the instrument within the orchestra has its own name. I’m not that familiar with the instruments in Balinese, but I think what you had there was one of the Gangsa (Pemade/Kantil) CMIIW. Daood was also not wrong when he said ‘Gendong-gendong’ because that’s what they call the xylophone-like instrument in South Sulawesi, ‘kolintang’ is the generic name known in North Sulawesi which can actually refer to different things. I remember Debu from many years ago, it’s nice to get an update from Daood. I mean, it’s obvious that English is his native tongue and all, but at the same time you can hear a tinge of Indonesian accent even when he’s speaking in English. Understandable as he grew up surrounded by American English speakers in his family but he also needed to communicate in Indonesian with the rest of the population. I find it fascinating.

No, gamelan is referring to all the instrument, yes I know the instrument individually can be name, for example on the show it referring to instrument names Saron, Gambang or Javanese/Balinese xylophone. But to called it gamelan is equally correct.

34:47 Bener kata bang joe gamelan itu keseluruhan yang terdiri dari alat-alat musik instrumental seperti gangsa, gender, bonang, gong, saron, slenthem, dll. Gamelan sendiri aslinya berasal dari Jawa Tengah dan diduga sudah ada sejak abad 4. Tersebar di berbagai daerah di pulau jawa, madura, bali, lombok. Gamelan di tiap daerah itu sama tapi berbeda. Contohnya gamelan jawa nadanya lembut berbeda dengan gamelan bali yang dinamis (seperti genre tapi lebih ke nilai filosofi). Dan di video itu mungkin suara gender atau gangsa.
