u can say that again. why watch a drama about how miserable life is when you experience it everyday.

This movie taught me something really important- A happy ending doesn't always mean that the people who love each other end up with each other. Sometimes a happy ending is having a happy memory of someone that you once loved. Even though they loved each other, they knew they weren't right for each other.

I think this movie beautifully describes the idea that some people are meant to come into your life and change you and stay as a beautiful memory you will reminisce about in the far future. The idea that you loved someone so much will keep you going forward and remind you that you’ve known true love and that you are capable of it, and that’s enough.

This is one of my fav korean movie and the ending is just so real. I suddenly remember my first love when I pursue my study when I was 19 years old. I had a one sided crush during that time and my crush know I like him and we become friends. But after we finish study, we rarely contact with each other and only become friends through social media. I still remember he taught me many things, he give me such a beautiful memories even though only i like him and he didnt give me the answer when I ask him that i like him. And one day,he invited me to his wedding, and he wish I can come but I lied to him and said it is too far away from my home. He is now happily ever after with his kids and wife. I dont regret meeting him, knowing him, liking him, and even crazy for him but if i can turn back time i really want to be the 1st women that he love and i really want to ask him if he ever had like me before when i said i like him. I feel thankful for knowing him and until today, i still in my 30s finding my other side and sometimes i thinks about him too because who can easily forget our first love. It is always remind beatiful in my memories. Thank you for exists in my life even though we dont have that special relationship. Wish you a happy life with your family.

I remember my first love whom I love for 3 years, I told him what I feel but he did not felt the same way. Regarless, It was a good memory now when I look back because I don't have any regrets. 🙃

@@Rudi_Mentary723 well in the movie he asked her to invite him and I think inviting him gave her a bitter-sweet closure about their relationship that ended on such a negative note. And like the comment above me said, just because somebody is your ex doesn’t mean you should erase that person from your life, a lot of ex’s stay good friends or continue the friendship they had before they started dating. Like he said in the movie, love is all about timing, it could be the right person indeed but the timing can be off and that’s going to challenge the relationship and maybe even break it, some people, no matter how sincere and intense their love for each other is, are just better off as friends, that way they can make each other happier while still staying by each other’s side.

And this is what "When you love someone, let them go." mean.

This movie hit me deep. My ex and I are each other’s soulmates and she got married to someone else because that’s what her family wants. Before her wedding, we also talked about our precious and beautiful memories while we were together. We talked about how we will cheer and root for each other even though we were going separate ways. We thanked each other for being each other’s happiness in some point of our lives. As long as she is in my memory, I am satisfied with that. May all of us experience the feeling of having true love.

although the ending is somewhat saddening and bittersweet, it’s realistic. life isn’t a fairytale and it’s better to find that out early than later on. you’re not always going to get what you want and that’s normal - that’s life. letting go of someone you love(d) isn’t uncommon. yeah, it hurts and it sucks, but sometimes, you just weren’t meant to be. and sometimes, it’s better to love and let go than to never love at all.

I enjoyed watching Korean movie more than drama because of the reality aspect injected to it. Most of the time drama tends to exaggerate human's lifestyle. A rich upper level class guy marry lesser social level girl vice versa only occurs on drama whereas these kind of relationship tends to be taken as movie plot. I appreciate it more, story wise.

There are people mean to be part but not as forever, to teach us about life and make us a better version of our own self to help us to be wise in love.

It's just heartbreaking that some people are meant to be just a happy memory in your life even though you love them but you won't be together.. You smile whenever you remember them or times you spent with them and tears roll off your eyes.. But you never stop loving them. And for me that person is my FIRST LOVE. I know what true love is and what pain is..😔😢

Bo young was right, its the fact that the guy thought about regretting everything. If I was Bo young I will also walk away and marry somebody. Marriage is a commitment of a lifetime. Things might get difficult at times. It will be heartbreaking if your partner keeps bringing up the past and telling he’s what ifs after his injury. Its a bittersweet and deep movie.

This movie made me cry 😭. I remember seeing the cover of the movie on Viki and being like “nah I don’t want to watch it”... but I did and it was a great movie and very heartfelt. After watching it and bawling my eyes out I was like “I knew I shouldn’t have watched the movie”😂😅

I don't even watch the full movie but I am crying. This is one of the most realistic romance movie I have ever known. I don't usually like romance genre coz it's often unrealistic. But this...this is something that most likely would happen in rl. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you would end up with them. Sometimes you just move on and learn to continue your life without them T_T.

But that is wrong, you shouldn't live your life wondering the what ifs because there would be no end to it. Like he said, if he never met her, he wouldn't be having any future in sport at all. He only realized that after she became the bigger person and met him first. What happened was just life. They should just move on and cherish the beautiful memory they created together.

Although I know it taught a very important lesson, I jz can’t accept bittersweet ending in drama Too heartbreaking that makes you suffocate so much u can’t even think straight *just me whining

I got one thing from this movie. Loving someone doesn't mean we got to have them. We can plan everything and who we want in our life, but gKd has the upperhand.🙂 He knows better and He decide for us.🙂

this is a definition of true and unconditional love.

The ending hit me hard. They have made each other become a better version, but for others. The conversation shows that he finally is ready to let her go. The door closed means that the memories are locked and left behind. He can now walk away toward his path without her completely. Another small detail, the ending does not let us know the guy she married to. It can mean that he is not jealous anymore so he does not care about the husband. He feels peaceful inside to see her happy even when she is with other man.

Friend Zone had a very different ending. Watch this then watch the thai movie to lessen the pain. 😔

I like the chemistry Park Bo Young and Kim Young Kwang, they look sincere at that time

this ending and baek yijin and na heedo 2521, they made each other become a better, and gave so much strength and comfort during the worst periods of their lives, but timing wasn't in their favor

When I watched this I thought the title was "our wedding day" until the end. I cried even more 😭😭😭

Sometimes there are people who are not really meant for each other. Even when they love each other dearly. It's a sad and heart wrenching situation especially when you want that someone to be in your future and to live life with you and to grow old together. But like everyone here said, real life doesn't always work in that neatly predictable way. We are all made differently and it takes a lot of constant effort and compromise to make relationships work and thrive. And we also learn to realize that letting go, no matter how difficult and painful it is, is part of that process.

he is very happy because he is not too burdened with sadness, he even tells his love story to his students
