Yeah and i think 808 & heartbreak might be next. A totally unexpected sound from an artist, but after these first albums we started to understand the odd mind of Kanye and you'll never know what you're gonna get. Very creative and unique which inspired the whole industry! Futuristic vibe and very strange. I loved it! Emotional rollercoaster because he's always switching from serious to humorous. I wouldn't say that it's his best album because I dislike ranking albums, but It's just amazing to see artist always raising the bar by taking big risks by trying out something new & different. In other words, many didn't like it because it was a new sound nobody has ever heard before, but tbh I was blown away!

Shortly after this album came out, Kanye’s mother died unexpectedly during surgery. Around the same time Kanye and his long-term fiancée broke up. These two events marked the biggest personal and musical shifts in Kanye’s life. The personal tragedies prompted him to create the album *808s & Heartbreak* (released in 2008) - marking the end of the “dropout trilogy” (College Dropout/Late Registration/Graduation) era. Which is collectively referred to as the “old Kanye”. The themes, style and musicality of 808s & Heartbreak directly shaped the direction of hip hop into the 2010s-present, including opening the door for a plethora of artists, themes and concepts popular today - but completely alien in rap at the time. It’s commonly cited as the most influential hip hop album of the 21st century.

When Kanye was touring with U2, he got the idea to make an album that is made to be played in stadiums/arenas. Gives a unique sound to this entire album, in my opinion.

This is his most commercial album. He went with a more synth based sound through meeting producer Mike Dean who works on a lot of his following projects. They wanted to create stadium music. Hits on hits. Here he is on top of the world and then his world comes falling down and he makes 808s, the next album. Which is a huge departure in sound but influenced an entire generation of rappers.

Hey y'all, so I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this before (my memory's kinda wonky), but seriously, you gotta give Juice WRLD a listen! Now, Juice's story is a bit heavy. He left us way too soon, but man, did he leave behind some incredible music. 'Death Race for Love' is like his masterpiece, with tracks that'll make you nod your head and think deep. And let's not forget 'Goodbye & Good Riddance' - his debut album, that's where he really blew up, with songs like 'Lucid Dreams' that just stick with you. Juice WRLD's stuff is a goldmine. It's raw, it's real, it's relatable and it's like a journey through his life and thoughts. Definitely worth checking out! Juice in his music often mentions the number "999" it was significant to him as a symbol of turning negatives into positives. Juice talks alot about drugs but he doesnt really glorify them and he also talks about mental health stuff like depression and anxiety

I’m familiar with JW. My son loved him. Showed me his freestyle on Westwood he killed it for about an hour. The guy was amazing. We recently did XXXTENTACION but KZread banned it.
