I decided to start learning Japanese since I'm not multi-lingual and I wish to be, and I'm proud of how much I was able to teach myself! I've already finished the hiragana section and I'm not learning katakana, but it's nice to see how much I improved from not knowing any hiragana to knowing the whole alphabet for it. I was quite surprised that I had heard a lot of these words from animes that I watched so I was able to predict what the words meant. I also learnt quite a few words that I'm going to write down. Thank you, and happy learning to anyone reading this! :D

This is good, I got some right. I mistake some hiragana with others due to similar structure. And some of these words don't come in handy, because あなた("anata", you) is rude, かれ/かのじょ("kare/kanojo" he/she) is very formal and it can also mean "boyfriend/girlfriend". 私("Watashi" I) is OK to use, but usually it's omitted like "私は学生です(Watashi wa gakusei desu)" becomes "学生です(gakusei desu)" which is a shorter way to say "I'm a student." And 私 isn't to be used unless clarification is needed on context.

So the small っ means a quick stop or extended consonant ベッド(ツ is つ in katakana) which means bed is pronounced beddo not bedo while in a word like 待った (まった) which means wait its pronounced Ma ta. typically in hiragana its a short pause while in katakana its an extended consonant but it all depends on the word

if you're looking to get back into learning Japanese but can't take classes, I'd recommend using a textbook and just going through it on your own time. A lot of people use Genki, but I really like NihonGO NOW! (a bit of a silly name, but it's the textbook my university uses and I really like it). Our classes are focused on the lessons in the books, so I really think you could learn a great deal just from the books themselves. You just wouldn't be able to practice with native speakers. But it's a million times better than something like duolingo imo. It really focuses on speaking practice for real life situations which I found that textbooks I've used in the past during my high school Japanese classes often lacked. Hope you get back into it. It really is a beautiful language :)

Well, I just started trying to learn Japanese, but my score was both amazing and trashy. I could confidently(and correctly) pronounce all but like 2 of the words, but I didn’t know what any of the words meant. I’ve only been learning Japanese for like 3 days, and I’ve mainly been focusing on learning the Hiragana and Katakana phonetic alphabets. I haven’t really bothered to start learning many words yet.

Спасибо за ваш комментарий♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪ В 2:22 я говорю «sohu» вместо «sofa-». «ふ» одинаково произносится как для «hu», так и для «fu». «fu» используется чаще, но «hu» не является ошибкой. Это потому, что согласная «fu» - это «h», как «はひふへほ(ha/hi/hu/he/ho)». Если у вас есть вопросы, не стесняйтесь их задавать!
