    Working in a group means you have to compromise and they have said that things get decided together with the producers and the members. The one who is most suited for a certain part gets it. Even though they as a group always have had a say in the making of their music, they never had a chance to explore what they as a individual wanted to say. These solo projects give them the chance to explore their own style without having to compromise for the group.

    That's actually scary having members who a different outside of the group and they're really talented. When there's no distrust, greed, and ego between them they're an unstoppable force when they come together. BTS will last for years to come and that scares the industry. RM and each of the members showing the individuality from the group with these solo projects is powerful.

    You're right because when permission to dance came out I was struggling with kidney cancer I just wanted to give up at 55 I was just tired. But listening to BTS words of that song and how hard they fought at that time got me through. It give me strength so it (songs) may mean something different to them but the way they write music it can apply to everybody even if they made the song 5yrs ago it still applies to the current years. I'm still alive cancer free because l believed again BTS said you're not alone I'm 58yrs old now

    Re 8:05, the feeling that RM runs some sort of parallel lines with BTS growth is bec he's the main songwriter for the group so BTS music contains a lot more of him in terms of approach, thoughts & perspectives.

    (I am using a translator, sorry for possible translation errors) I am 20 years old, I live in Peru and my native language is Spanish, I became ARMY in 2020 and RM became my bias (I love all the members, they are fantastic) I am very happy to follow a group as incredible as BTS, I am very proud of RM, his musical work is beautiful, his lyrics helped me a lot with my depression problems, because I feel that I can identify with that pain and I feel that this gives me the strength to continue with my life despite the difficulties, his music is inspiring, it comforts me. Namjoon is an amazing person, I'm thankful that I found his music, what a genius. I love your videos MONQ TV, the comments you make are accurate, thank you for appreciating RM's work, Indigo is a beautiful album, I bought it and it is the best purchase I have ever made 💜💜

    Hi Monq! I'm happy to have found your review. I think the song "Lonely" affected me the most because I am from Las Vegas. People save up their vacation time, they save up their money, just to go on vacation to Vegas and be happy, and to think that RM was in my beautiful city being so unhappy really hurts my heart. I got Indigo in the mail today, and I'm looking forward to playing it many times. Thank you for your perspective - it always adds more depth to whatever you are commenting on. Take care, get some rest if you can, and try to get more healthy (I feel like Jimin saying that to you!)

    i never put the soul with the hip before but I guess i should have known that but that explains how BTS rap was different from day one. you could feel the passion and the fact that they didn´t allow someone else to write their own rap parts of the songs. they dont like to rap other people lyrics it´s to personal to them. so what you said makes a lot of sense of how i felt when i first saw BTS. English is not my first language so i have trouble describing how i feel.

    Thank you again. Yes, JHope explained his album also very well. Yes, RM explained his album also very well. I remember that RM once said that BTS are in a boat together but, are looking at things different. That's why I always liked RM Suga JHope Jin Jungkook V Jimin equally. Each one of them is unique. I'm happy that you are doing your music again. Keep on going. Warm greetings from The Netherlands 👍💜🍀🤘💪🇳🇱🌷🤗

    what you said about Britney spears is true i used to be a fan of hers when i was young but when i find out about this i was like. ok no wonder she lost her mind and cut of her hair. also the same reason i really don´t like kpop groups besides BTS. there is a reason why groups rarely last for more than their 7 year contract and i believe that´s the reason. when they grow up they realise that they dont want to be remembered as what the company wanted them to be. it´s not really them. and BTS too have had the same issue from the start but they were able to mix it together and also do solo songs along the way. it gave them the opportunity to share on their own and share different sides to them. but they never expected they would reach the sky like they did. and now they are wishing for a way back down to earth. but they still love music so it´s a dilemma

    I think they have done exactly what they wanted to do as BTS, but they can't make songs as bts that have personal feelings and stories i think! Like Jack in the box IS 100% j-hope, indigo is 100% RM! But a BTS song is about all of them, the team, and their message to the world, that's what i think! I love how you called out the solo stans ahah you're right !!

    Absolutely, as a classically trained instrumentalist, I can confirm music as colors and numbers. Colors have feelings and music has feelings, so they will go together, but the numbers, also -I always joked that music was m’y applied mathematics. I never did well with the written on paper math but I could always instinctually do the math of music.

  • @MONQTV

    @MONQTV

    Isn't there sort of a system using numbers when reading it writing music?

  • @toanzhou

    @toanzhou

    Жыл бұрын

    @@MONQTV Yup. The beat gets covered with notes and silences so while the beat stays the same if you have multiple notes per beat that’s all just subdivision or fractions. It was always easier for me to do things by feel or by ear and then figure out the math later, when I was composing for my classes (I majored in music performance of the double bass). Then when you get into the study of historical music forms like sonatas and such some other math terms like the golden ratio start getting thrown around. Theory can really bog you down sometimes. It really is useful for things like joining jams and stuff but it really is the boring nitty gritty behind the fun stuff.

    INDIGO is greater than the sum of its parts. Using collaborations RM has created that elusive something new. I firmly believe this will become a cult classic. I do not believe it is really appreciated enough as a representitive of this confusing troubled decade we have just lived through. For instance LONELY is my perfect lockdown song. CLOSER speaks to the difficulties of forming lasting relationships in our increasingly peripatetic society. CHANGE my most surprising favourite on the album made me snort and smile, and realise how fearless RM is when it comes to music. WILDFLOWER mirrors societies present focus on identity. It just goes on. Like all great artists by honest introspection they also mirror the time they live in. I bought this CD to add to my carefully curated collection. I believe in this album and during the course of my long life I have learned to trust my instincts. Its why I am able to openly declare that if you havent bought this in a physical form you slipped up. As for BTS their greatest point of difference is their depth of content paired with their ability to perfectly collaborate with each other and other artists. RM as leader will always sacrifice his personal needs for the cohesive artistic vision of the group. Perhaps more so than any other individual member of BTS.
