I am under the impression that, early hip hop was hijacked by the c.i.a. as most media outlets, and certain agents were put in positions of influence as a tool posing as "true" and " real", all the while being fake and fradulent.👍

In way, thanks to Dre and Ruthless, the main stream media was unable to go too far commercializing hip hop music like they did funk/disco from the 70's by making fast food commercials out of it, burger king ect. They try nowadays but still :)
