    Not every playlist. It just depends on the mood, focus, and audience. I have Led Zeppelin on a playlist with Cannibal Corpse, Suicide Silence, and Immortal. It's my Essentials. It's a fav playlist. But not on my modern playlist of the past four years or on extreme metal playlists for the gym. I have 200 playlists with 999 songs on Spotify. Not every single one can have Zeppelin! Lol

    Jimmy Page said in an old interview that when they were firsr forming the band, they needed a drummer. So he and Robert Plant went to see this guy named John Bonham play in a club with some anonymous band. Page said he clearly remembers telling Plant, "That's our man, he beats those drums like a bastard."! And that's how "Bonzo" got to be selected for Led Zeppelin.

  • @henriettaskolnick4445

    @henriettaskolnick4445

    3 ай бұрын

    No, Robert recommended Bonzo to Jimmy because Robert and Bonzo had been mates and had played in some of the same bands together, however, he didn't go with Jimmy to see Bonzo play. Jimmy first recruited bassist John Paul Jones because they'd worked together as session musicians in London. Jimmy originally wanted singer Terry Reid to join, however Reid was already contracted for a tour, but suggested Robert, who then suggested Bonzo, as I mentioned.

One you really need to watch is them live playing 'Kashmir'at the o2 arena 2007 in the Celebration Day reunion concert. They are all in their late 60's, apart from Jason Bonham , who is the son of John Bonham, Zep's original drummer. I guarantee you won't be disappointed .

    Good to see the younger generations watching classic rock. For us born in the mid-50’s it’s the soundtrack of our lives. Saw Zeppelin September of 1971 in Toronto at age 14. They were touring promoting the 4th album, the very album that Black Dog is on. Incidentally, Stairway to Heaven is on the same album that came out later in 1971. Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath are the unholy Trinity of British hard rock.

    I am sorry to tell you but there is no comparison to the way you feel listening to this music now and the way I felt so many years ago hearing it. As much as you enjoy it now there is no possible comparison to hearing the music now and interacting with the culture that reflected the music as people my age did then. All that being said it is of course a pleasure to watch you experience the music now and take such joy in it. It gives me a thrill to see a young person wonder about the skill that this level of muisic required and to appreciate the rising sub-culture that it represented. We may not have changed the world the way we hoped to do but we will leave a mark that no popular culture can match.

Robert Plant especially isn't really known for performing songs in a consistent way, which is great and keeps things fresh, but also relies on the audience already knowing what it's supposed to sound like. I was 12 when this came out In Australia and I loved it, never realised how gorgeous Robert Plant was until I was older. Phew, he was lovely! My favourite album is Physical Graffiti which came out when I was in form 3 in 1975!

    Led Zepplin was my favorite band back in 1974 and i had a very large poster of them on my bedroom wall,but back then it was very hard to see any photos of them , there was no video ,Other tan a magazine , you never really saw photos of them only the LP photos maybe never got to see them caused the time i was going to got cancelled for some reason. so seeing them in concert would be the only time you ever would see them, there was no TV other then the Mid Night Special, you might see bands.no internet ,,,only radio back then. at least the Beatles had Beatle cards you could buy like baseball cards. But then there were no stores nearby either.

    They were absolute rock gods! Legendary music and musicians. Robert Plant had so much charisma. Women through themselves at them. Side note, Robert’s wearing a top from one of the girls (groupie) from the night before.

    Robert Plat is the greatest singer & front man, he was the perfect one for this band of the greatest musicians. I’ve listened to all the bands from the time period for 50 years, the only other closest to LZ is Pink Floyd, & they’re down a notch or two. Thank you & keep going down the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole.

    Though I love so many of their live performances, 4 that I’ll recommend are In My Time Of Dying Earls Court (1975) Since I’ve Been Loving You Madison Square Garden (1973). In The Evening & Achilles Last Stand at Knebworth (1979).

    Nice Bro'! I have never heard this specific performance. Pretty interesting in my opinion There is a shit-ton more "funk" pouring from John's bass and Jimmy's guitar than the studio recording. On their album Led Zeppelin 4, the recording is a straight foot-stomping Rock 'n Blues song. Thanks for the effort Bro'!
