Thank you! I have a Hinoki that I stand back and wonder about. It nearly died, and when I first found your channel I potted it up from the garden. It’s looking pretty healthy now! And this video will help to inform the next ideas! I appreciate your encouragement to play!

Thanks once again for a great lesson on Hinoki cypress Peter, I only have one of them, the way the foliage grows is unique but with that uniqueness comes a difficult tree to style convincingly I find the new foliage is very fine and a beautiful light colour, I look forward to the work you do in the video coming up on an Hinoki.

Ouch. Oh that poor tree. You really set it back and insured that it doesn't have much of a future. They don't back bud well. And trees evolve and you removed the possibility of future branches of the last tree showed.

Whats the pine next to the hinoki in the garden??

It's a Japanese white pine bonsai that I planted 33 years ago. It was 8" high then. Look at it now
