I did a 2-week tour in India through the Himalayas on the RE Himalayan. Loved the bike and how it handles all types of terrain. Very planted and lots of torque.

I am quite happy with my new Himalayan and anticipating again many exellent trips on canary islands after the fucking corona quarantine. Greetings from Gran Canaria

Bought mine a couple months ago new and have been pleasantly surprised in every area with her. Handling has absolutely amazed me. The Ceat tires which I expected to have to change asap, stick to the road way beyond my expectations. An all round hoot of a bike to ride in New Zealand roads.

Re Himalayan is still a crude engine bike. Don't go by the looks. Yr smw is 100% better bike. Instead u can buy a used fz 250 and prepare for the ride .. Test ride to believe!!

I am in a similar situation. I sold my 2035 Tiger 800 and now I am back on my ADV- modded DRZ400. The DRZ is lighter, better suspended and more powerful than the Himalayan, however as a road bike the lack of weight carried low makes it less than ideal in windy conditions.

@@bjorn1583 I don't know about the 460cc bore kit, but looks expensive! Next available re-bore cylinder-piston kits are like 413-415cc. For this large re-bore, they would have built custom everything, and should be costlier. What about the ECU? You know what, I'm done with upgrades next I'll save up and probably buy one of the Truimph Scramblers!
