A huge thank you to Tom for the donation, I genuinely, no shit, have a tear in my eye watching this. Thank you Nathan too, obviously along with anyone who has shared a link or put a hand in their pocket, you are great people. Life suddenly got a bit expensive, incoming cost of decent wheelchair, bathroom and kitchen adaptions, change of car, widened doorways and so on. Best wishes from America. I had a recent experience with some medical bills from Bonneville Salt Flats accident and know how quickly those expenses mount up. Your accident sounds a whole lot more serious but it sounds like you have some great support. 🙏

The best thing about the 452 is in a few Months the 411 will be as cheap as chips. All except this one which I hope goes for a million pound!

I have a Himalayan and have had a 462 kit fitted,,, I fully agree with all Nathan said,,, you,re not going to set the world alight or compete with the 452. but if you want extra low down grunt its the way too go... My bike also has the tec cam.. For me it has been abit of a waste,,the power comes in at over 5000 which is my rev limit... Just one word of warning if the bike has been fitted with Dyna jet ignition,,, Dyna jet does not like tobe drowned in water, mine died a death..(replacement £450/500 ) I now back runnin the RE ignition but seems ok... Lastly in this world we all live in there are some ( many many) tootal a******holes,,, and yet there are other totally generous souls Good on you Tom....

If you end up doing a raffle I'd definitely chance my arm with a ticket or two, You'd be daft not to! The added bonus that its going to a good cause just seals the deal!

I have always felt lucky to be a part of the biking fraternity, this gift and the time you have put in to helping a biker in need just reaffirms this. I do like the look of the new himmy, but I also feel they were forced down a different path. I wonder how many will realise how good the original bike is, and snap them up secondhand. Toms bike is a great buy, especially with the hard luggage!!

Great effort Nathan, brilliant idea and best wishes to Richard for a speedy recovery. The biking community always comes together for a good cause such as this.

What an absolutely brilliant Thing Tom an you are doing Nathan for Richard An i really agree with what you said for the 411 its a resurection of the class of motorcycles that ive loved with my British classic bikes. 👌 cant beat a longstroke engine.

Listening to the new Himalayan designer, it has very much been tuned to feel more like the long stroke motor of the 411. It’s a bit lighter and better suspended according to all the reports, so that might make it a bit closer to the ease of the original. Can’t wait for you to get your hands on one because you understand the needs of the novice, or less skilled off road rider.

Those prices are not as much as I feared...but I think I,ll wait for another couple of years,,(there,s life in the old dog yet)

We would love to find somewhere like that to ride our Africa twins off road and year round a field or two! Well done to all involved raising the money for Richard.

I can't afford to buy it as a second bike but I'd definitely have a punt on a raffle. BTW, is it my imagination or is is almost always raining in Devon. The mud just never seems to go away.

Hi Nathan, or anybody here who can point me right. I have a 411, like most have done all the big fast stuff and at 57 wanted to slow it down and as a complete novice want to start doing work on the machine. Did it first service 👍 took a day 😅 my engine light has come on my fault reader indicates PO562 system voltage low and PO261 cylinder 1 injector circuit low. I had a Lithium battery put on it when I bought it, I had a period of not riding during which the battery lost charge, I jump started it (not sure if that is a good thing) but I suspect in doing that I have not only ruined the battery but I may have damaged the regulator? I have changed the starter and ecu relays but that has not rectified the issue. It keeps cutting out. I am going to check the valves and have ordered new regulator and battery (not Lithium) am I on the right track? Any advice welcome 👍 Phil

Does that bike have stock cam or upgraded one? Maybe cam does more than big bore kit?

It would be interesting to compair this bike with the new 452. An proven older 411 upgraded to a 462 would be cheaper than a new bike I recon. eh?
