Hilton Waikoloa Village Tour + Review | The Most Famous Hotel on the Big Island in Hawaii

Subscribe here!
The Hilton Waikoloa Village resort on the big island of Hawaii is one of the most famous hotels in the entire state. It was built in the 1980s and was one of the most expensive hotels ever built at that time. Today, it has a great location, with dated rooms, as you'll see in the video. Take a look at the whole property in this video, including both pools, the dolphin habitat, the Asian art, as well as a room in the Palace Tower.
You can book the Hilton Waikoloa using your Hilton Honors points starting at 60,000 points a night (rates hover around $300, plus resort fee and taxes). Remember- Hilton Honors award bookings don't charge resort fees, saving you a bundle on this property!

In December of 2021 with COVID restrictions. It was still enjoyable at the Hilton Waikoloa, we stayed at our Timeshare @the Lagoon Towers. Some things were limited within the resort, but other than that we really enjoyed our visit! We recently stayed @another Timeshare in Waikoloa Resort at Kings Land condo’s. One of the most beautiful and enjoyable place to vacation, also you personally can easily put-in some foot mileage, if you don’t mind taking a stroll around this massive properties of the Waikoloa Resort!

Great video. I enjoyed the resort for the most part. The biggest drawback for me was the stench and garbage floating in the canal at the coffee shop in the Makai area. Our room was on that end and every time we stepped out our door you got a blast of sewage smell coming from the canal. Very sad to see it in such bad shape without the boats running. I wish I could have experienced it in better conditions. Thanks for sharing.

During my family’s visit in December 2021. Yes the stench that came from the still waters of the lagoon at the Lagoon Towers, the smell were pretty overwhelming within the courtyard of the Lagoon Towers buildings. But, once you’re in your room it all relaxing and you’ll forget about the stench, until you go out again.🥴🤢🤣🤙🏽

I've been here before, but didn't stay over. One of my to-dos with the kids. Glad to know the prices were in the 60k/300$ range, but I've recently seen them up around 5-600 for standard rooms. I'm hoping that's just due to them seeing more traffic from people visiting. Thanks for the vid!!

Thanks for watching! Check out my Kohala Suites video, it's a way better deal for families, and you still have access to the resort. Would appreciate a subscribe if you like travel videos as well!

Nice voice great information. Thank you for that. May I suggest for a person who doesn't have a bounce to their step do the filming. It was interesting that the bounce was in 4/4 time and with the music.

Thanks for the video. I’ll be at this resort during the second week of March 2023. Seems like your main take was the rooms are outdated but the grounds are beautiful. I’ll fortunately have a rental car during this visit so I’m hoping to visit a real beach, the volcano park and reasonably priced restaurants during my stay. I’m a Hilton Platinum member as you are. Can you tell me what, if any benefits did the hotel confer respecting your Platinum status?
